Oh God..this explains so much..why ranbir is the way he is..he has seen it from childhood to the extent all this has become normal for him..the way she candidly talks about rishi's ONS..and she says she has matured so it doesn't matter..i don't know what to feel for her..but thats just sad and so ignorant!!

Not to forget she was also a victim of domestic violence.

Back in 1997, there were reports that Neetu called up a police station one night, telling them that her husband, Rishi, has beaten her up under the influence of alcohol. But when the police reached their house, the couple denied making any such call. However, at the time, rumour mills were abuzz about the turmoil in their marriage. Rishi Kapoor was even quoted as saying, “Which marriage doesn’t have ups and downs?”

Ranbir really had fcuked up people for parents, didn’t he? Alia, run before you become Neetu part deux. You’re already halfway there with your emotional infidelity being worse than physical infidelity philosophy as it is.

Finally, Neetu got a bahu who had similar thoughts of hers.

Now it makes sense why they like Alia and why she’s willing to be the permanent door mat for Ranbir while he knocks on other doors

Exactly. He's been conditioned to seeing his mother tolerating patriarchal mentality and his dad having escapades even within their marriage which is probably why he's grown to struggle with commitment :/ I feel like Alia is someone who's actually okay with how Ranbir is, which is why their relationship works. Also beyond the playboy image Ranbir has, he seems to be a very smart, funny and wise individual.

I guess her openness to all of it was quite apparent when she'd once precised that 'emotional infidelity' is what would be her deal breaker for a relationship. Physical is probably okay for her. Quite a few people are okay with open relationships, cuckolding etc nowadays so Alia being fine with it isn't exactly shocking imo
