I was just looking for the link in my past chat with frnd.... And saw myslef saying "imlie is poison" lol.... Drinking poison officially and happily 🤣

Replacing GM with another actor as Adi at that time would have probably resulted in a mass outflow of viewers who couldn't envision anyone else playing Adi. So they,(CVs with GM's help) came up with a plan to dismiss his departure as rumour and set out to introduce another character, Aryan, who would then be lead after GM's departure.

They made Aryan as attractive as possible and butchered Adi so that when GM left everyone would have already accepted Aryan for Imlie. Fait accompli.

If I remember correctly there was actually an article that I'm somewhat sure I read in IF that stated that Farmaan was gonna enter as male lead. Nobody paid attention at the time that he was described as entering as male lead.

they turned Adi stoop so low and turned Aru as grand as possible so the distance between the character was so impossible to bridge and viewers just considered Aru being better person for Imlie seeing Adi going all the way to patal...

and i am with you that things were started even before when we saw Gms article.. i hv had read some udto udti khabar may 2-3 months back that he wants to quit.. so its not so sudden as its being portrayed.. its just well planned well executed exit.

We did talk about this in the 2nd AryLie dt I think that Gul really played her card well this time. She learnt her lesson from one of her highest rated show which got shut down due to ML leaving abruptly ( not mentioning the name since it isn't allowed) I mean this is her highest rated show & she'd do whatever it takes to keep it going & doing well. The hard work of the entire team has paid off quite well so far. Even the prank seemed like a gimmick to actually test the reaction of the viewers. See shutting down a show bcoz of the lead leaving is such a disservice to other ppl working on the show. I mean so many ppl depend on this show for their livelihood so it's wise enough to bring in someone fresh & reboot it to make it interesting for the audience & ensure a long run.
