@bold: You're probably absolutely right about them running out of ideas, but Sid's rationale behind this decision is very valid. He says, Ratul and Sree must realise that Nipa is no longer a factor in their marriage.

A lot of this misunderstanding, specially from Sree's side is because she thinks Ratul still likes Nipa. But if they both are made to believe that Nipa likes someone else, the benefits can be two-fold. One, Ratul realises he no longer feels for Nipa, so he can maybe rethink his sanyas decision. And two, Sree realises Ratul doesn't feel for Nipa and so her sacrificial self can go on a lambaaaaa hibernation.

Yeah, with this at least Sree won't be making plans to unite Ratul and Nipa. I think Sid's idea is more valid then Dadai's one. Bdw Som is not only against Mithai but Modak business. That's what I felt.
