I agree that we have been brought up to consider what our elders feel....and we must do that....however in this case i strongly feel as sukha often says..urmi cant get a better boy than sandeep!!!!..and they are a very good couple..

The thing is Mrs Gupta very cleverly told Sujata that no need to consult Sandeep on everything. Urmi's marriage should be only the concern of Urmi's parents...let see how long all these ladies keep their nose out of it!!!
Right now, a few of them have already hanged Sandeep!
To be fair, they have shown a realistic mohalla scene where such gossip is a part of everyday life.
Sujata is caught between the gossip and her fondness for Sandeep.

i dont understand why all of u think sandeep will not stand up for urmi and will back out? he has done something similar in that past but that before he made a committment to urmi. now things are different. he told bauji and urmi about his love after LOTS of thinking. he is prepared for the worst reactions. so any bad reaction will not surprise him as they might surprise urmi. he has always let urmi made all decisions about the status of their relationship after he has proposed to her and will continue to do so even now. he will only back out if urmi wants him to. remember that sujata is urmi's mother so its urmi who has a greater chance of getting influenced by her.

also its not fair to call pammi wicked...she isnt. remember how supportive she was of sona? most sisters in law would think how to get rid of an unmarried badly behaved nanad asap but pammi understood her pain. also during the narsh-kavita story when she realized her mistake she apologized. pammi's fault are that she is a lil jealous of the people around her be it sujata or sandeep. and yes she is a gossip.

Infact i agree with you partly..they have really portrayed a small town mohalla very well..this is so typical..not only in small towns but at different levels in big cities as well...people like pammi will always be there to gossip and create hungama..however they have a good side to them as well...there are people like Rose totally selfless and looks at things very objectively..same for Muha...at the end of the day i think in their heart to heart all know its a good match!!!..its only people like pammi and zeenat who are used to gossip that come what may they cant abstain from it!!!!....the only character which has truly dissapointed me is that of Mrs Gupta...she is neither here nor there really!!!...her ignoring sandeep was totally uncalled for...infact her character is totally out of line!!!..lets see how they proceed....

yes perhaps i would have liked it better if she had gone and given him 2 tight slaps. even sandeep would have been relieved.
