But I have 1 question - its been about a good 6 years or so since she broke up with Sushant. How is she so sure that he wasn't depressed? There is no such thing as "he can never be depressed". One can become depressed at any stage of their life. I really didn't like this statement of hers.

I doubt she was in touch with him. What she said, if it was based purely on when they were in a relationship together, is discrediting the process. Because she, like others, is asserting her opinion as a fact.

They have common friends. And I believe Ankita said that she did speak to Sushant a few times Since the breakup and the last time they spoke he had mentioned that Rhea is harassing him

So I like how she's standing up for him and hope it sheds light to bring justice and truth on the forefront!

But how can someone claim "he wasn't depressed"?! I mean depressed people at times isolate themselves to an extend of not even letting others know what's going on in their lives. And other than his psychiatrist, don't think anyone can claim with certainty what a person is going through!

I don't understand why so many speculations. Didn't police already interrogate his doctor? Check his medical history etc etc? I mean that would be the least basic thing to do during an investigation!

It's all so weird and messy!

All I hope things get sorted out soon because his case is getting dragged from so many possible angles!

I don’t want to comment on Sushant’s family but it’s best to wait until court and actual proof. Rhea is innocent until proven guilty.

That way in India 89% of the rapists are innocent. Salman hasn't killed anyone. And many such verdicts. I am sure one would not have THIS much faith in our judiciary process.

I think Ankita spoke her experiences with sushant during their relationship. If I were to guess, her (and his family’s) objective is to convey that sushant was mentally very strong and to dispel rumours of clinical depression or bi polar disorder.
So post their breakup, it’s very possible he was diagnosed other forms of depression, Which is where officials would need to summon/ review his medical records, prescribed medication, etc.

also, I think SSRs family ( and by way of this upcoming interview Anita) want to change the narrative from multitude of rumours and their focus is on holding Rhea accountable and unravel the unanswered questions they may have.

From the snippets, it’s still unclear if she was trying to undermine if he ever had depression, But Based on what I saw, I am glad she brought up his struggles, his ability to take risks, and highlighted the strong mind one needs to get as far as he did in the industry.

I mean people make up their mind before there’s any proof, Sushant is a MeToo accused for example and people crucified right away, so keep the trend going! Who cares about innocent until proven guilty... Who needs a justice system anyways, it’s all about the public trial these days. People were right to go after Sushant back then I guess based on your logic.
