Filmfare categorisation sucks tbh, Fawad was a lead in every possible definition.

Nah, Jim was the one tbh. Although Rishi was damn good though. I dunno from where you are saying as if he was crap, and Fawad/Rajat were robbed.

For me it was Abhimanyu Dassani winning the "Filmfare Best Debut - Male" over Vishal Jethwa for "Mardaani-2"

Vishal's was hands down the most spectacular performance for a newcomer in 2019. In fact he was better than many of the established actors. How easily he stole the thunder despite performing along side the powerhouse performer like Rani Mukerji..

But then Vishal does not have a le "Bhagyashree" (Bhai's first heroine) as his mother like Abhimanyu does...

Alia for GB. Zoya should have chopped her role altogether. Most useless character in the movie.

Actually , the award itself is bekkar.

Salman for Garv, Ajay for Raincoat or Yuva were ignored Saif for Hum Tum they put into a comedy joke 😆

Saif Ali Khan Deserved a nomination for Hum Tum, so did AB (Khakee) & Irfan (Maqbool). But Salman & Ajay never deserved it.

And I would go with Irfan (Maqbool) than SRK (Swades) any Day.

I remember every year Filmfare used to publish a list of nominations in TOI which readers could fill and send in their choice under each category. (do they still do it i have no clue) How much was this peoples vote considered? Because masses will mostly go in for popularity over talent. Of course buying the award is a different issue.

There have been some atrocious wins over the years.
