Mini grew up without father so it's obvious she has issues. She missed out on paternal love. But I wouldn't fault Babita even a bit. I have watched all of the episodes of PB. There is a scene after Mini changes her Surname and takes after Babita's name to honor her Mother. Dadu comes to her college and is disappointed in her, that's when Mini explains how her Mother has been a mother and father figure both to her. If you want, watch Ep 92. 3rd April.

Mini has a fight with Preet and she has no friends in college. Mickey makes fun of her clothes and fashion sense. Mini is feeling down. Babita is working as Baby's caretaker. They don't have enough money to go buy latest fashion clothes so, she arranges everything with the help of her old colleagues and stitches clothes for Mini. Simply coz she wanted to make Mini happy. Didn't want Mini to compromise of anything or feel letdown by her mother.

And about Photography course. Well, again lot of you people are running with the fabricated version of lies than what actually happened in the show.

Mini was selected for photography course in the start when they moved to Hanuman Singh's haveli. There was no alimony or maintenance discussion. Mini's dadu told her he had Fixed Deposit for her education. When Mini comes to know that she has been selected, she goes to Dadu but before she could say anything, Dadu asks her if he can use her Education FD money coz he needs it for Beeji's medicines and Ashok has denied taking their responsibility. So Mini doesn't even say anything to him. It was Mini's decision to let go of her dream without telling anyone.

Yes Babita rejected Alimony but initially even Mini was on same page. It was Hanuman who told them that they are confusing their ego with self-respect. Alimony is their right. And, so they agreed. But after what Ashok did to Babita in court, they again didn't deem it okay to take alimony.

Mini and Babita has worked as a team. They have sacrificed for each other. Mini has been great pillar of strength to Babita and the same way Babita has been great protective mother to Mini. This is their journey together. You are picking one person and blaming her without any base.

after ashok character assasinates babita, she could have blamed mini, saying that mini convinced her for alimony and thats why ashok said all those things. but instead she got up to fight. yes mini and HS supported her, but it was eventually babita who had to fight. she was the one who had to answer all those personal questions. and honestly, it is very personal to ask anyone, man or woman, when they had a physical relation for the last time, and such questions.

she fought the case, she started working, she started living her life, because mini wants her to do so. whatever babita has done till date she has done for mini. despite her hesitance she sits behind HS on the bike only for mini. she speaks up for mini. she fights for mini. she lives and dies for mini.

even the the latest episode, she wants mini and her approval when talking to HS. mini is babita's lifeline.

Truly. Mini is Babita's lifeline. Meak Babita has stood up for Mini every time someone has said a word against her daughter.

To everyone who has ever tried to point fingers at Mini. Babita has said many many times "Meri Beti mera ghuroor hai." Her face lights up, her eyes shines, her posture changes. She has so much pride and love for Mini while saying so. I love that fearless tone of Babita.

Every time Babita faced a difficulty, She was scared, she prepared herself to be strong, she told herself that I can't let Mini down. I have to do it for Mini.

There's one thing that Babita has succeeded is -- Being the best Mother Mini can have!

I think sometimes we tend to put motherhood on a pedestal and expect mothers to be perfect. But in real life, mothers have their flaws too when it come to parenting their children. And each mother is different and the way they parent their child will be influenced by the kind of parenting they received and what they observe around them.

Babita as a mother clearly loves her daughter a lot. She has many times put her daughter's needs before hers and she does look out for her daughter be it working all night to stich new clothes for Mini or something as simple as saving a few pizza slices. And yes, there are times she has faltered in looking out to Mini's needs and feelings but that doesn't necessarily make her a bad mother.

No mother can 100% be right in doing everything. And things get a bit tricky when it comes to Babita and Mini because Mini isn't a small child anymore. Plus, in their dynamic, there are times when Mini ends up guiding her mother, which is the theme of the show. And this comes from the fact that Babita was married off at a young age and never got the exposure of the outside world. If the writers have to show Babita completely the all-knowing parent then the theme of the show would have to be scrapped off. And while I agree that there are times that this dynamic can get over-burdening for Mini, and at some point the two will need to strike a balance (this point was acknowledged in the show when Mickey tells Mini about her living her mother's life).

So yes, there are things Babita will need to improve in her relationship with her daughter because Mini is way too involved in Babita's life than is healthy for her. But I will cut Babita some slack while these wedding functions are going on since she herself is going through so many emotions and she is entering a new phase in her life. And she is for once in her life thinking about herself. As for Mini, she isn't a small child. She is arranging the entire wedding and she will buy a new dress if she wants to. Plus, she has HS, NB and others by her side.

Agree, I am not really liking Babita characterization, spoilt logistic brat...now and glad Mickey supports mini like HS for babita
