Looking back at it, Karan knew Kalank was bad

I guess it started when Brahmastra did the logo reveal event before anything of Kalank was released.
Then the extra long teaser and waiting to release the trailer till the very last minute. We all thought maybe it was new marketing tactic.

He is treating SOTY2 normal with releasing the trailer and then the music.

He had to know.

Eh, I mean it does make sense that they were worried and hence a new Alia film was announced every time Kalank promo was released. As if to cancel it out.

I am guessing Ranbhoomi and Takht are gonna be proper shelved now.

I dont think Brahmastra has anything to do with this at all. They revealed the logo on Shivratri cause it makes sense considering the movie has strong mythological connection to Shiva ( Its Ranbir's name in the movie too).
But the rest is spot on. Also makes me really think about the kind of person he is. I know he's trash but this was supposed to be his father's dream project and he didnt even try to promote it like he does with his other movies. Next level trash.

Ranbhoomi toh never was in works to get shelved, Varun random bokwaas karta rehta hai time to time😆, Takht however I dont think Kjo will shelve, he is roaming around with its DP eversince its been announced its too much of an ego thing for him to put it on Back burner, I remember back in 2015 every1 thought Kjo will shelve ADHM after Bombay Velvet became All time Disaster but he still went ahead with RK-Anushka.

I was expecting Ranbhoomi to be back on table if Kalank worked. But I am guessing not .

Also, who knows. Shuddhi went MIA. Brahmastra is releasing 3 years after it's original release date.

Unlike YRF, Dharma is dependent on others for funding when it comes to big projects. If Kalank cost 150 cr, Takht with the more expensive cast and more grand sets, would reach 200 cr easy. And it is a more heavy duty project. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was a low involvment film with Ranbir-Anushka doing their standard stuff.

But who knows. Ranveer's current hype might get them to go ahead and risk it.😆

Takht pre-production has already started. Will they shelf the project?

Varun seemed more enthusiastic about it compared to the rest.
