Groom(ing) quiz
They actually walked out of the room together for dinner. She sat on his chaise lounge browsing while she showered (in his bathroom, bedroom area)
When he was done he walked out to find her giggling poring over her phone.
When he walked over to stand by her she looked up, dressed in a pebble grey chudidar and kurta. All his chikan outfits absolutely delicious, with fine offwhite threadwork all over
He was barefeet at home many times she noticed
She looked up and found him looking down, rubbing his scalp with the towel
"So what did you decide? he grinned
"About the school? she asked, her long swan like neck craning up
"Umm.. no about telling Babuji about the fact that I had a bandholz and drank beer
"What is bandholz?
He sat by her without asking
If there was one word to describe the following she would use it evertime he was anywhere closer than 10 feet:
Hectically flushed face, restlessly shifting legs, electric shivers running through her body, her chest pounding like a door left open during a thunderstorm.
The scent of amber and cypress quickly encroaching her nostrils

He explained it to her for a good 4 minutes?
She stopped listening after the first 5 seconds, staring at his face
"I had locks 6 inches long hanging off my neck he chuckled showing with his hand, as he tried to grab his hair on the back
"I tied a "man bun for class everymorning he whispered drawing close
She nodded weakly
This was a man who was completely unfamiliar to her. She had seen guys wearing brand name tees and expensive shoes all over Delhi. Devu and her had chatted with guys driving expensive cars and and wearing expensive watches.
This one was different
Or she was partial because...
Yeah I married him that's why I am partial she reassured herself
She liked sitting by him like this, she realized, like they were deeply in love
Just a regular couple chatting..
That thought made her happy
"Hamara test lenge? she quizzed
"Le sakte hain he whispered
"Multiple choice? she asked softly
"Bilqul nahi" he said firmly without a smile😳
