Industry insiders say Shah Rukh Khan might have another release this year

Last year, Shah Rukh Khan promised to do at least three films every year. However, he pushed Raees to next year. So while you'd think that Fan would be his only release this year, industry insiders suggest that the actor might be close to fulfilling his promise by having another release this year.

According to a source, "Gauri Shinde's film, starring SRK and Alia is being readied for a release this year. The makers are chalking out a perfect day for the release. There is no film on October 2 this year, as Rangoon has moved from that date to February 24. The makers might take up that date."

The source further adds, "The shooting of this as-yet untitled film has wrapped already. It's a joint production with SRK, Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde. They've decided to release the film on a date that lends enough of a gap between this film and Raees, so that the latter does not suffer. October also makes sense, because by then there will also be a six-month gap after Fan's release as well. They don't want any of the films to suffer. Besides, they are getting a good holiday date. Why not take advantage of that?"

The film revolves around a director's (Alia) life, her trysts with love and how meeting someone (SRK) changes her perspective towards relationships. SRK has already confirmed that his is a full-fledged role and not a cameo as reported. But, SRK and Alia aren't romancing each other in the film.

There is another date in October as well. Mirziya releases on October 7 and there's a three-week gap till Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay release on October 28 (Diwali). So it will be a good window for the film's release, but will KJo release both his films back-to-back?
