Why the Kabbadi track is not working for 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'

'Diya Aur Baati Hum', a show that was enjoying top position for a very long time, has suddenly witnessed a fall in terms of ratings. Just a few months ago, the show went in for a five-year leap, with lead actors Anas Rashid (Sooraj) and Deepika Singh (Sandhya) playing parents. And a month back, they introduced the Kabbadi track, where many actors like Rituraj Singh and Riddhi Dogra were roped in to make it interesting.

Says Deepika, "The show has enjoyed a powerful top slot position for four years now. Recently, a new system of ratings was introduced. Secondly, I feel that every show goes through a saturation point at some point in its run. You can't expect it to run successfully all the time. The whole team is working hard on this, so we can only keep our fingers crossed."

Seema Mantri, one of the writers of the show, says, "We have brought in many tracks before this and experimented with the show and they worked. With the Kabbadi track, we were inspired by 'Chak De!', but unfortunately, it did not work with the viewers.We will not change it now but wait for it to get over. This was done to bring in Anas' character into focus, but maybe we will bring in something interesting in the future now." Anas Rashid remained unavailable for comment.

Anas Rashid 'Sooraj Rathi', Diya aur Baati Hum - 8th June 2015: Sooraj, your plan worked well with your team, wow, what an idea, too good, you did managed to make your team understand about their own weakness and your swear on Ved did shock them as you have always play for the team and that's why you play this trick on them and this did forced them to think about their weakness and evil coach, this was a tight slap for you and your favourite Abhay, well is he just your student or son???? On the other hand Sandhya's test has become too serious as can see her suffering, Zakir, it is good to test one's ability, but since she has one kidney, this task seem to be too difficult, but still hoping for a positive result. Both SoorajSandhya are struggling in their own way, good to watch the equality and understanding of the situation from both of them, thanks for that Shashisumeet Productions, but Sooraj seems to be in danger in the precap, hoping for the best for both SoorajSandhya. Shashisumeet Productions, when the world's top cook competition was on for Sooraj, Sandhya motivated him and when Sandhya had to complete her education, Sooraj motivated her, this motivation comes on time to time but then togetherness was prime and this did contribute a lot in the top position, yes, remaining on the top all the time is not possible, but to be in the top 5 cannot be impossible for Diya Aur Baati Hum, kindly bring us the magic which is lost as the kabaddi track and Sandhya's test is interesting, but something is missing, please do something.

Deepika is right the show has reach the maximum saturation point

As for the track, more than the track the epis are not gripping... I'm saying this from day one...Suraj track or sandy track, execution should be good...especially in this track when not many trp audience are into sports...

No matter what, as a Suraj fan I'm glad that his character has more dimension now... Had enough of spinning jalebis and massaging FL's leg...
