Hema appreciates Bollywood's Bangladeshi fans đĽł
Veteran Actress and Bollywood's "Dream Girl" Hema Malini expressed that "Bangladesh feels like home, I don't feel like I have traveled to a foreign country," in a press meet at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel yesterday. The actress then said that Bangladesh and India has a nice and friendly relationship and she appreciates the fact that Bollywood has such a devoted fan base in Bangladesh.
The superstar is visiting Bangladesh as the brand ambassador of Shalimar coconut oil, which is launching in Bangladesh market arena.
In conversation with the press, the superstar shared different aspects of her professional and personal life and also evaluated the current scenario of Bollywood: "Times have changed and we are almost in line with the west in all aspects of life. The film industry should also roll with the tide and meet the expectations of the modern day audience. I believe that Bollywood is doing an excellent job in that area."
When asked about her best film, Hema states that she has done a lot of wonderful movie in her time and enjoyed herself a lot when she was faced with the challenging characters. Her movies "Lal Patthar," "Andaaz," "Sanyasi," "Dharmatma," "Pratigya," "Kinara," "Khushboo" and "Sholay" were highly popular.
She said she considers herself complete as a woman, as she got to experience all the aspects of womanhood.
"I thank God for all my achievements. I am a successful actress, a seasoned dancer and I also got the wonderful opportunity at motherhood. I consider myself lucky that I got to experience it all.
I have two beautiful daughters and they made me very proud. When people asked me whether I have any regrets that I have not given birth to a son, I always reply that I will have two readymade sons through my daughters. So, I have no regrets.
I feel great that my younger daughter got engaged recently to Vaibhav Vora. I couldn't have hoped for a better closure to my two daughters search for the right partner. Esha chose Bharat who is a perfect husband. He looks after her so well. And now Ahana seems to have found herself an equally good partner. Both my daughters would be married off within a year of one another. Now Dharamji and I can breathe easy," Hema said.
The actress expresses surprise when faced with the question of her dance school Natya Vihar Kalakendra: "I wasn't aware that you know about my dance school, I am truly flattered. My school is doing well at the moment. We are doing a lot of original productions.
Dance is a gift to me. Through dance I connect with the audience personally. I will continue my dance as long as I am capable."
