Maybe touching up the pictures would have improved the sig quality?

Hmm; see if you can find 'Enhance Photo' or Adjust >> Skin smoothing

Also; when you save your sig at the end make sure you save it in Png form rather JPEG etc. - it gives the sig better quality.😛
