I like Maya but I agree her dialogue delivery isn't her strongest point...on the other hand.. for some reason, Imran Abbas looks pretty apt for his role..but, lets see what happens with Maya and Mehreen working together for the first time. I'm really excited to see Imran working with Mehreen again.

It's also nice to see Imran still taking up Pakistani projects. He's perhaps the only actor who hasn't stopped doing that despite doing some work in Bollywood as well.

Mehreen Jabbar isnt that anymore either what she used to be. Currently her drama Jackson Height on Urdu 1 is a disaster. They may have started shooting end of december, but most likely not completed yet. Chupke se Bahaar aajaye on aplus was still being shot which aired 2 weeks later. All the times Mehreen Jabbar produced good work, she had good writers who gave her good scripts to work with. A director can't change a flawed script. If you look at all of Mehreen's recent directions, which script was actually extraordinary? Wasay is a decent writer but he's not brilliant and that shows with Jackson Heights. Another thing which MJ has also pointed out and some actors are as well...that channels are exploiting writers and producers by asking them to extend their shows for no reason apart from ratings. Mehreen used to direct shows that lasted a maximum of 18 or so episodes...but look at Jackson Heights, it's 20+ episodes. A director could only do so much if the story, producer and channel aren't on their side. I don't doubt Mehreen's potential..I truly feel she's one of the best directors we have and I always give her work a shot..but directors could only do so much with their work if other factors aren't on their side. Let's see how this one turns out...once again, I'm dreading Khalil ur Rehman's script here...but since there's MJ, I still am going to check it out. And yeah, Imran looks better here than he does in Alvida. As an actor too, I feel he'll be doing better here.

Re: bold, yes me too - his strongest performances have been in Mehreen's plays.

I too am glad he continues to work in Pakistani projects, it's nice to see him on the small screen...

Mehreen's been busy shooting this show and a telefilm for Zee Zindagi, so we'll get to see more of her work this year.

I hope they don't drag this play out. Someone said it's 22 episodes long? The main reason Jackson Heights is drawing so much flak is because of the writing - I hope the writing this time will be better and I hope (against hope) not too sad, but the promos with Imran getting beaten up...not helping

I didn't know that's the title of the show, but I caught promos on TV and looked intense. U wasn't too attracted because of Imran, but I noticed Star opened the thread, which meant we could have a show in common after the longest time :P
