Copied from the Rain/Monsoon TOTW: For farmers, rain is a matter of life or death. In this song, farmers call out to the clouds as "Elephant of the Sky" (Airāvata) to throw down some rain for them.

Song: Āsusalī Mātī Pikavāyā Motī

Singers: Sudhir Phadke, Asha Bhosle

Movie: Kuberāçaṃ Dhana (1953)

Actors: Prabhakar Mazumdar, Rekha Kamat

Lyricist: Gajanan Digambar Madgulkar

Music: Sudhir Phadke

Lyrics

Āsusalī mātī

Pikavāyā motī

Ābhāḷācyā hattī

Ātā pāūsa pāḍa gā, pāūsa pāḍa

The soil's desperate

To ripen barley-pearls

Elephant of the Sky!

Now drop rain, friend, drop rain!

Meghāñcyā rājālā zāūna sāṅga bā

Ḍhagāṃnī kāzaḷu de ḍoṅgarāñcī rāṅga bā

Ḍoṅgarāñcyā taḷī

Karapalī kāḷī

Harāḷīcī muḷī

Punhā gheū de vāḍha gā

To the rainclouds' King, go and tell, sir!

Let the clouds blacken the row of hills, sir!

At the hills' base

Scorched black

Green grass's root

Let it pick up growth again, friend!

Çārā nāhī gāūlyāṃnā, dūdha nāhī vāsarāṃ

Dhārāvinā perā nāhī, koṇa āmhā āsarā

Nadī-nālā āṭe

Kāḷazāta tuṭe

Vṛndāvanī vaṭhe

Dārī tuḷaśīçe zhāḍa gā

No grazing for cattlekin, no milk for calves

Unwatered, sowing's nothing. Who's our refuge?

River and canal shrink

Hearts are breaking

In the planter shrivels

The basil-plant at the door, friend!

Dharaṇīcyā poṭāta sāṭhū de ola gā

Ruzū de biyāṇa gavatāta khola gā

Olyāvara unhaṃ

Nīvatīla manaṃ

Kuberāçe dhana

Maga motyālā moḍa gā

In Earth's belly, let moisture gather, friend!

Let seeds germinate deep under grass, friend!

Upon wetness warmth

Minds will cool down

Kubera's vast riches

Will be change for barley-pearls, friend!

Copied from the Road Trip TOTW: Travelling by bullock-cart at night, with constant jolting and the lull of harness-bells and chirping crickets, could be life-threatening, especially in disputed hilly territory of 17th century Maharashtra!

Song: Mulukha Tyāta Māvaḷī

Singer: Sudhir Phadke

Movie: Naravīra Tānājī (1952)

Lyricist: Gajanan Digambar Madgulkar

Music: Sudhir Phadke

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPHPz3Yxiy4

Lyrics

Dhīre zarā gāḍīvānā, rāta niḷī kāzaḷī

Mulukha tyāta Māvaḷī re, mulukha tyāta Māvaḷī

Slow down, cart-driver, the blue night is blackening

It's Māvaḷā territory too, hey! Māvaḷā territory too.

Vāṭa çuke lavaṇāśī, vaḷaṇāçā peça paḍe

Ḍoṅgaracyā ḍagarīṃnā ghāṭāçā māṭha zaḍe

Dohī bāzū dāṭa kuṭhe āmbarā'ī zāmbhaḷī

Way lost at irrigation-overflow, road-bends confuse

Right next to hill-rises, the canyon's cliff clings

Both sides, dense in places, mango-rows, rose-apples

Ghuṅgarācyā tālāvara saila suṭe kāsarā

Khaḍakāśī çāka thaṭe, baila buze bāvarā

Peṅguḷatā hādaratī gāḍīmandī maṇḍaḷī

On harness-bell's rhythm, horn-string slips loose

Wheel hits a rock, nervous bullock leaps, startled

As they doze off, folks within the cart shudder

Karavandī zāḷīmandī oraḍatī rātakiḍe

Nivaḍaṅgī nāgaphaṇī āḍavitā çāla aḍe

Ṭhokaralī yetha gaḍyā bādaśāhī āndhaḷī

In fields of conkerberries, crickets chirp

Prickly pear and hawthorn obstruct our progress

I give up here, friend, on the emperor's blind command!

Copied from the Road Trip TOTW: Disguising herself as a boy driving a bullock-cart, teenaged Champa offers Shankar a ride to the village where he left her years ago to pursue his studies in the city. Despite her rather recognizable singing voice, Shankar is convinced of her boyhood, perhaps because his focus is on the lusty words.

Song: Baila Tuzhe Haraṇāvāṇī

Singer: Asha Bhosle

Movie: Prapañca (1961)

Actors: Seema Deo, Shrikant Moghe

Lyricist: Gajanan Digambar Madgulkar

Music: Sudhir Phadke

Lyrics

Baila tuzhe haraṇāvāṇī, Gāḍīvāna Dādā

Taruṇa māṇasācyā manīçā zāṇa tū irādā

Your bullocks are swift like deer, Brother Cart-Driver!

Try to guess the intention in a young man's thoughts!

Vāṭa nāgamoḍī veḍī

Tujhī phuloryācī zoḍī

Ūnasāvalyāṃçā zhālā āgaḷā kaśīdā

The way's serpentine like crazy

Your pair's in full flower of vigour

Of light and shade there's an extraordinary pattern

Samorūna yeto vārā

Śīṇa bhāga zāto sārā

Diṭhīpuḍhe yeto zāto gāṃva to dahādā

From the front blows the wind

Weariness flees away altogether

In my sight that village comes and goes tenfold

Gāṃva sāzaṇīçā dūra

Śahārūna yeto ūra

Sūra ticyā lāvaṇyāçe ghālatāta sādā

Girlfriend's village is afar

Thrills expand my chest

Tunes of her allure are calling out to me

Parata sāda deṇyāsāṭhī

Śīḷa yeū pāhe oṭhī

Palīkaḍe kheḍyāmājī vase eka Rādhā

To give out a call in response

A whistle seeks out my lips

Over there within the hamlet lives one Rādhā

Svapnabhāralyā ekāntī

Tiçā hāta yāvā hātī

Zhaṇī bheṭavī re mitrā Rādhikā Mukundā

In dream-laden solitude

Her hand should slip into my hand

Instantly unite, my friend, Rādhikā with Mukunda!

Twice-born birds, all in one group on trees since evening

Just as dawn arose, those birds flew off to graze

Experts in austere practice, after doing sin-ablution and other penance

At dawn time arise, orange-clothed, seeking the pilgrim's route

After sprinkling and sweeping, cattlewomen holding pots on hips

Go for Yamunā's water. Mukunda, eat yogurt-rice!

The bee anticipates release from the lotus

East's face brightens; darkness is driven away

Get up quickly, cow-finder, dark son of Nanda!

Rinse your mouth and partake of millet-bread

In house after house, pushing up perpetual lamps' wicks

Cattlewomen sing songs with love, coming and going from home

Turning to housework, they prepare to paint coloured designs

Tuber of my joy! It is dawn, get up, night is past

Squeeze the stream, holding the milk-pot, the cows are mooing

Cattlemen standing at the door are calling you to come

These pearl-necklaces, wear these jewel-strings

A fine cane-staff in hand, take the black blanket

My son, Madhu-subduer, Hair-thriller, world-ruler!

Calves are seeking, Hari, to drink from cows' teats

Cattlewomen finish morning baths and bedeck with ornaments

Applying vermilion and makeup, they begin work at churning

From love-filled hearts their mouths sing a name-series

Twice-born brāhmaṇas give offerings and worship Gods

Loyal to the goal, those Vaiṣṇavas offer worship to Viṣṇu

Smārtas engrossed in Śiva-worship, and Śāktas worship Śakti

Sages living in retreats, on indescribable focussed

At dawn's rise in solo meditation got immersed

Dawn-time darts ahead, the sun's wheel sets out

Such a long time you've slept, Hari, Nanda will realize

Teachers instruct them and disciples rise to the study

Sacrificer-folk into the fire-pit cast offerings - look!

Sun-radiance spreading lights up purely all ten directions

Oh, my dark calf, get up, Kṛṣṇā my lady!

Baḷi-Rāma is ready to join, take cattle-stock to the woods

Swan of the hermit's mind-lake! Bee of Śrī's mind-lotus!

Mura-slayer! Lotus-handed! Lotus-navelled! Śrī-charmer!

Cart-destroyer! Lord of All! Oh Hari, Height of Vigour!

More than ten million suns, your face has special lustre

Honājī Bāḷā constantly in his heart meditates on your name-series

Copied from the Infidelity TOTW: Prākṛta verse in Aparavaktra metre, sung off-stage by Haṃsavadi'ā (or Haṃsapadikā) at the beginning of Act 5 from Kālidāsa's play AbhijñānaŚākuntala. King Duṣyanta understands that the singer is reproaching him for not resuming their affair after his return from the forest, but having no memory of his newest love Śakuntalā, he believes that the singer's rival is Vasumatī, his queen.

Ahiṇava-mahu-loluvo tumaṃ

Taha paricumbi'a cū'a-mañjariṃ

Kamala-vasa'i-metta-ṇivvudo

Mahu'ara vimhari'o si ṇaṃ kahaṃ

You are greedy for fresh honey

So, after you fully kissed a mango blossom

A mere sojourn with a lotus contents you

Honeybee! What a manner for you to forget us!

For his Marathi adaptation of the play in 1880, Balavant Pandurang (Aṇṇāsāheba) Kirloskar set the song to Rāga Byāhāga, Tāla Dādarā. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a performance of it.

Abhinava-madhu-lolupa he madhukarā aśī

Bhukta-vastu-vismṛti tava zāhalī kaśī

Rasa-bharitā āmra-kalī

Lubdha-paṇeṃ çākhiyalī

Miḷatāṃ maga kamal'āvalī

Tetheṃ tava mati guṅgalī

Tava viraheṃ zhuraṇārisa pāḍalisa phaśīṃ

Oh honeybee greedy for fresh honey!

How can you forget the object you enjoyed?

The mango blossom full of juice

You greedily savoured

Then finding a row of lotuses

Your thoughts fixated there

You ensnared her who frets with separation from you

Similar idea copied from the Infidelity TOTW: In Bhāgavatapurāṇa, Uddhava overhears this Saṃskṛta song addressed by a cattlewoman to a honeybee that she imagines to be a messenger from the equally flighty Kṛṣṇa.

Song: Bhramaragīta

Singer: Krishna Chandra Shastri

Lyricist: Anonymous

I couldn't find a rendition with a livelier tune, monotony-relieving expression, and perfect pronunciation; at least this one observes the rhythm of the Mālinī metre almost throughout. (This link works if you join the Saṃskṛta Text Discussion Forum through the link in my signature.)

Honeybee! Cheater's brother! Don't touch our foot

With vermilion whiskers from a garland crushed on a rival's breasts

The Madhu lord in the Yadu house, whose such messenger you are

Can keep that ridiculous peace offering to proud women

Once letting us drink his lower lip's bewitching nectar

He, being like you, sir, suddenly abandoned us like flowers

How does Splendour yet serve his foot-lotus? Indeed!

Her mind too must be stolen by the Best-Praised's idle talk

Six-legs! What are you singing repeatedly here, before us

Home-wreckers, about the Yadus' overlord? It's old news

That story may be sung to Vijaya's friend's favoured girlfriends

Their breast-ache subdued, they will arrange your favourites

Are whichever females exist in heaven, on earth, or underwater

Hard-to-get for him with sly, delightful laugh and eyebrow-quirk?

Who are we to one whose foot-dust Splendour awaits?

Yet only the losing side tells the Best-Praised's story

Take your foot off my head! I know your clever moves

As a persuasion-expert coming with messages from Mukunda

For him, here we left our children, husbands, and others

And he indecisively left us. For what do I reunite with him?

Tad alam Asita-sakhyair dustyajas tat-kathā'rthaḥ

He of a hunter's morals shot the monkey-chief as if hunting

Wife-won, he mutilated a woman who moved as she liked

After eating Bali's offering, he bound him like a pauper.

So, enough befriending Darky! His stories' point's hard to forget

Once consuming by ear a nectar-drop of his playful pursuits

And shaking off their mating responsibilities, ruined

Those poor who instantly left their poor families at home

Subsist by beggar's routine here, like so many flying birds!

Dadṛśur asakṛd etat tan-nakha-sparśa-tīvra-

Smara-ruja upamantrin bhaṇyatām anya-vārtā

We, Kṛṣṇa's brides, believed what he said deceitfully

Like ignorant deer believing that a hunter's call is genuine

Repeatedly we saw this result, our lust-aches sharpened

By the touch of his fingernails. Close confidant! Tell another story!

Dear friend, you've come again, sent by my lover?

Choose, what may I do? I must respect you, dear!

How will you take us here to Hard-to-Leave Mate's side?

His bride Splendour is constantly with him on his chest, gentle one!

Bhujam aguru-sugandhaṃ mūrdhny adhāsyat kadā nu

Tell, does the noble's son yet stay in Madhu's city?

Does he recall his father's house, gentle one, and brother cattlemen?

Does he occasionally yet recall incidents with us who await orders?

Might his aloe-scented arm be placed on my head sometime?

Lyrics

Mī tara zāte zatraṃlā

Gāḍīçā khoṇḍa bitharalā

Baḷa nāhī gharacyā Gaṇobālā

Kuṇītarī bolavā Dājībālā

Well, I'm going to the fair

My cart's bullock misbehaved

Gaṇobā from home has no strength

Somebody call my brother-in-law!

Dājībāṃsārakhā dīra duniyemadhye nāhī

Goryā bhāvazayīcī tyāṃnā laī apūrvāī

Tyāñcī bāīla hoīla ticī kharī puṇyāī

Hendraṭa āmacyā naśībālā

There's no brother-in-law like mine in the world

He's so fascinated by his brother's fair-skinned wife

Whoever his wife will be, she has true pious merit

My luck got me Mr. Clumsy!

Dājībāṃçā svabhāva laī gulahauśī

Sazavatīla ghoḍā sāṅgitalyāsaraśī

Malā puḍhyāta ghetīla hasūna çaṭadiśī

Nighatā nighatā uśīra zhālā

My brother-in-law's personality is very fun-loving

He'll deck up the horse as soon as I tell him

He'll lift me up in front with a laugh in no time

Leaving, leaving, already late!

Dājībāmhora ghoḍyāvara basalyābasalyā

Aṅgālā aṅga lāgataṃ an hotī gudgulyā

Bālapaṇīcyā yetī āṭhavaṇī phāra māgalyā

Mī laī bhulate rubābālā

On my brother-in-law's horse, as I sit in front

Body touches body and I feel tickles, bringing

Memories of childhood from very far back

I'm very taken by his panache

Sāza-śiṇagāra kelā, lyāle sākhaḷyā-toḍe

Ainyācī ghātalī çoḷī an zarīçe lugaḍe

Aśāmadhye asāve saṅge Dājībā tagaḍe

Mhora maga ṭhāūka Jotibālā

Dressed up, made up, wearing anklets, bracelets

Mirror-studded blouse, gold-embroidered nine yards

It's time for my sturdy brother-in-law's company

What's ahead? God Jotibā knows!

Song: Dhaumya Ṛṣi Sāṅgatase Rāmakathā Pāṇḍavāṃ

Singer: Madhubala Javheri

Movie: Sāṅgatye Aikā (1959)

Actor: Ratnamala, Sulochana, Dada Salvi

Lyricist: Gajanan Digambar Madgulkar

Music: Vasant Pawar

Lyrics

Dhaumya ṛṣi sāṅgatase Rāma-kathā Pāṇḍavāṃ

Sage Dhaumya is telling Rāma's story to Pāṇḍu's sons

Rāmā-saṃge Jānakī nāndatānā kānanī

Soniyāçā sāmbara ālā ticyā aṅgaṇī

Sītā mhaṇe lāḍakī, mārā tyāsī Rāghavā

Kātaḍyācī kañcukī tyācyā malā levavā

When Janaka's daughter lived in the forest in Rāma's company

A golden deer came into her courtyard

Beloved Sītā says, "Shoot it, descendant of Raghu!

With its hide, make a blouse to dress me

Rāma gele dhāvunī gaṃ bāṇa-bhātā gheunī

Sītā pāhe vāṭulī gaṃ dārī ubhī rāhunī

Sāda ālā dūraçā, koṇī malā vāçavā

Rāma went running, girls, taking his arrow-quiver

Sītā watches his path, girls, standing at the door

A cry came from afar: "Someone save me!"

Oḷakhilā sāda to, bāvaralī sundarā

Rāmā-māge dhāḍile Lakṣmaṇā devarā

Kāya zhāle kāya kī gaṃ cittī uṭhe kālavā

She recognized that cry; the beautiful one faltered

After Rāma she sent Lakṣmaṇa, her husband's brother

"What happened, or what," girls, in her mind arose agitation

Āśramācyā aṅgaṇī nāra ure ekalī

Rāvaṇāne pāule toṃça puḍhe ṭākalī

Bairāga veṣāne gaṃ māge tilā zogavā

In the hermitage's courtyard, the lone woman remained

Rāvaṇa took steps forward just then

In recluse's guise, girls, he begged alms from her

Ḍoḷyāṃmadhī āgaḷā bhāva tyācyā peṭalā

Jānakīçā dhīra sārā hātī-pāyī goṭhalā

Rākṣasācyā hātī gaṃ deha tiçā oṇavā

In his eyes, primal lust lit up

Janaka's daughter's courage all froze in her hands and feet

In the Rākṣasa's arms, girls, her body slumped forward

Copied from the Historical/Mythological TOTW: The legend of Kṛṣṇā Draupadī's fish-shooting svayaṃvara is narrated to Queen Sudeṣṇā and her attendants in this Marathi song by Mālinī Sairandhrī - the heroine herself in disguise.

Song: Svayaṃvarācī Ticyā Ghoṣaṇā Drupadāne Kelī

Singer: Lata Mangeshkar

Movie: Kīcakavadha (1959)

Actor: Sumati Gupte

Lyricist: Gajanan Digambar Madgulkar

Music: Master Krishnarao

The song is at the 1 hour 40 minutes mark in the movie:

Lyrics

Upavara zhālī leka lāḍakī lagnālā ālī

Svayaṃvarācī ticyā ghoṣaṇā Drupadāne kelī

"My cherished daughter has come of age to marry"

Drupada made a proclamation of her Self-Choice

Suvarṇa-stambhāvarī basavilī phiratī matsy'ākṛtī

Telāmājī bimba pāhunī chedila ho koṇa tī

Chedila tyālā vivāha-mālā ghālīla Pāñcālī

On a golden pillar, he fixed a revolving fish-shape

"Watching its reflection in oil, say, who will pierce it?

Pañcāla's girl will confer the bridal garland on him who pierces"

Ratīhunī tī at'īva sundara subhagā guṇa-śālinī

Maū reśamī alaka-bhāra tara khyāta svarūpāhunī

Dhanurdharāñcyā manīcī āśā āvhānā ṭapalī

She exceeds Pleasure in beauty, desirable, virtuous ...

Soft, silky tress-masses more famous than her own looks

In bowmen's thoughts, aspiration arrived to invite them

Svayaṃvarāçā bharalā maṇḍapa, gardī tarī tī kitī

Deśa-deśīçe zamale hote raṇa-śārdūla nṛpatī

Bhāvā-saṃge tejasvinī tī sabhā-gṛhī ālī

The Self-Choice venue filled up, what a crowd it was!

From every land, noble tigers of battle had assembled

With her brother, the radiant one reached the assembly

Hattīvarunī zaṇū çamakalī samūrta saudāminī

Sūta-putra an Karṇa rāhilā ubhā tvare uṭhunī

Hīna-kuḷīçā mhaṇūna tayālā saṃdhī naca didhalī

Off her elephant she flashed like personified lightning

And the sūta's son Karṇa quickly got up and stood

Of a low family, he was not given an opportunity

Ituke hote tarīhī Kṛṣṇā kuṇātarī nyāhāḷī

Brāhmaṇa-veṣe toça nirakhilā Arjuna nṛpa-maṇḍaḷī

Jīvā-śivāsama tyā doghāñcī dṛṣṭa-bheṭa zhālī

So much happened, and yet Kṛṣṇā gazed at someone

Spotted that very Arjuna in brāhmaṇa guise out of kings assembled

Like soulmates, those two met through their sights

Tyā nazarene sphurale bāhū, vīra siddha zhālā

Açūka lāvunī bāṇa tayāne matsya-bheda kelā

Dhanaṃjayācyā gaḷāṃ dhanya tī vara-mālā paḍalī

With that look, his arms swelled, the hero got ready

Aiming an unerring arrow, he broke the fish

Around Dhanaṃjaya's neck fell that lucky choice-garland

Copied from the Historical/Mythological TOTW: This Marathi song about a swan is in the voice of Damayantī addressing Nala, having fallen in love with him without ever meeting him. Like the whole world today, she's unable to identify the Niṣadha country that his name made famous.

Song: Rājahaṃsa Sāṅgato

Lyrics

Rājahaṃsa sāṅgato kīrticyā tujhyā kathā

Hṛdayi prīta zāgate zāṇatā azāṇatā

The royal swan tells tales of your fame

Love's awake in my heart, knowing or unknowing

Pāhile tulā na mī tarihi nitya pāhate

Lāzunī manomanī ugiça dhunda rāhate

Ṭhāuka na mazasi zarī Niṣadha deśa koṇatā

I haven't seen you, and yet I always see you

Blushing within my mind, needlessly I stay entranced

Although I don't know Niṣadha is which country

Divasa-rātra oḍhaṇī yā manāsa lāgate

Tujhiça zāhalyāparī mī sad'aiva vāgate

Maitriṇīṃsa sāṅgate tujhi amola yogyatā

Day and night the pull possesses my mind

I always behave as if I've become only yours

To my friends I tell your invaluable eligibility

Nimantraṇāvinā punhā haṃsa yei to vanī

Nāda-citra rekhito tuzheça manda kūjanī

Veḍa vāḍhavūna to uḍuna zāya māgutā

Uninvited, again that swan comes to the garden

Sketches a sound-portrait of you with soft honking

Augments my craze, then he goes flying back

Lyrics

Ekā taḷyāta hotī badake pile surekha

Hote kurūpa veḍe pillū tayāṃta eka

Once upon a pond, there were ducklings exquisite

There was an ugly, dumb duckling among them, alone

Koṇī na tyāsa gheī kheḷāvayāsa saṃge

Sarvāṃhunī nirāḷe te vegaḷe taraṅge

Dāvūni boṭa tyālā mhaṇatī hasūna loka

Āhe kurūpa veḍe pillū tayāṃta eka

No one took it along to play

Different from all, it floated apart

Pointing a finger at it, people laughed and said,

There's an ugly, dumb duckling among them, just one

Pillāsa duḥkha bhārī, bhoḷe raḍe svataḥśī

Bhāvaṇḍa nā vicārī, sāṅgela te kuṇāśī?

Je te tayāsa ṭocī, dāvī ugāça dhāka

Āhe kurūpa veḍe pillū tayāṃta eka

The duckling felt heavy pain; innocent, it cried to itself

Siblings didn't inquire, so to whom would it tell?

Each and every one pecked it, needlessly causing dread

The ugly, dumb duckling among them was lonely

Eke dinī paraṃtu pillāsa tyā kaḷāle

Bhaya veḍa pāra tyāçe vāryāsave paḷāle

Pāṇyāta pāhatānā çorūniyā kṣaṇ'aika

Tyāçeça tyā kaḷāle, to rāja-haṃsa eka

Even so, one day, that duckling understood

And its fear, dumbness entirely fled with the wind

In the water, gazing surreptitiously for one moment

On its own it understood that it was a regal swan

Lyrics

Sāsuryāsa çālalī lāḍakī Śakuntalā

Çālalī Śakuntalā

Çālato ticyāsave ticyāta jīva guntalā

To her marital home goes cherished Śakuntalā

Goes Śakuntalā

Goes along with her my soul entangled in her

Ḍhāḷatāta āsave mora hariṇa-śāvake

Mūka āza zāhale sarva pakṣī bolake

Yāpuḍhe sakhī nure mādhavī-late tulā

Peafowl and deer-fawns shed tears

Today, all voluble birds have become mute

Hereafter no friend remains for you, hiptage liana!

Pāna pāna gāḷunī duḥkha dāvitī tarū

Garbhiṇī mṛgī kuṇī vāṭa ye ticī dharū

Dantī dharūna pallavā āḍavī khuḷī tilā

Drooping every leaf, the plants show pain

Some pregnant animal comes to follow her path

Holding a flower in her teeth, foolishly blocks her

Bhāva-mukta mī munī malā na śoka āvare

Janmadāsa sosave duḥkha he kase bare

Kanyakā na kanaka-koṣa mī dhanyāsa arpilā

I, a hermit free of passion, even I can't control grief

How would a birth father endure this pain at all?

Not a girl, a gold-chest to the rich man I've surrendered
