Marathi album Gaarva (meaning cold, as in breeze) has been almost every 90's Marathi music lover's favorite for years. Released in 1998 and powered by Milind Ingale's music and Soumitra aka Kishor Kadam's lyrics, this album is a compilation of six songs (plus one reprise) that describe the advent of the monsoon after a scorching summer. Each song is preceded by Soumitra's poetry, with narration by the poet himself.
For years, it had literally been a ritual for me to listen to Gaarva songs before the onset of the monsoon.
This is the first and title song of the album, Gaarva, picturized on Sunil Barve and Smita Bansal.
