We all do have dreams and desires about our lives which are not easy for us to sacrifice... That makes me think again about them as I read your OS again now. I specially appreciate you for writing for Hidimbi...!!

As for first love, well I am a firm believer in marriage and commitment. For some reason, I am extremely sensitive, about First Wives...Maybe this is exactly the reason y I became a fan of Draupadi. It was this pain of hers, to be drifted away from Arjun, that got me attached to her.

I can't say about Vrushali, coz the epic does not say much about Karna's love life, but I do feel for Hidimba. How did she feel, when she saw Bhima madly in love with Draupadi?

I know, that love cannot be forced, but still, like I said, it's the first wives, who suffer the most.

You read my OS again?...I guess I cant ask for anything more...😊

Draupadi, Krishna n Karna are three of my most fav characters from MB!!! And I must applaud you for writing this here as I have seen its almost like a forbidden norm to talk of them!

Your take on Subhadra .. I mirror it! Whenever I think of the pain Draupadi would have gone through when she finds Arjun being married, I feel Subhadra's presence would have reminded her of her dearest Sakha Govind! Of Hidimba! I feel so bad for her and also that no one ever talks about Hidimbi's feelings! Especially after the death of Ghatorkach she must have been all alone! With no one by her side...Even if people would have been there, she would have always pined for Bheem's love and presence! You beautifully put it on!!!!

My concept of Karna-Vrushali relationship is little different from yours but I loved the way you wrote it...Such a convincing way of writing!

I also liked the way you wrote about Duryodhan!

Though I can never love Kunti! I liked your take on her! 😳

Mostly what I loved about your OS is you have come up with almost all the points and cleared the sort of misunderstanding (I don't know what word to use) between!

Indeed Hidimba had to suffer, but somehow, her sufferings are not spoken of...

I know that many people hate Kunti...infact, I am not a huge fan of her either, since it's bcoz of her order to share, Draupadi suffered so much.

However, as a woman, somewhere, I understand y she did, what she did. It's not like she committed crimes like the Vastraharan, but she did make shrewd decisions, that affected other people's lives...mainly Karna and Draupadi's.

Yes, I like to see things from all perspectives. Sometimes, in some situations it is difficult to be neutral, like in the Vastraharan incident, I am partial to Draupadi, and I do not believe in revenge theories. Coz, such incidents are wrong, no matter wat.

However, in other situations, like Draupadi's Swamvar, Bhima's poisoning, Kunti's selfish attitude towards Karna and Draupadi, etc...I guess, the same situation can be seen from various perspectives.

arjun-draupadi today i want to confess something about them in this post

i never hated them yes i did not somewhere particularly like them as they insulted or became reason of insult karna faced

but deep down inside my heart i always felt that if by chance karna was accepted before friendship with duryodhan then karna n arjun could have been best of friends and karna n draupadi could atleast relate to each other's pain

could share a relation of pure friendship between a man and a woman but again "if things were different"but then today reading your os my this imagination turned true!

Actually I understand your disliking towards Arjun and Draupadi...

Honestly, despite my acknowledgement of Karna's virtues, a part of me dislikes him as well, for his participation in the Vastraharan. If Draupadi insulted Karna, then he too returned that insult, ten folds...so like I said, they were even, or maybe Draupadi's disrobing was far worse.

But I guess, we have had enough of this same debate...let's not argue any more on this.

I guess, both Karna and Draupadi were victims of the evil norms of the society.

And yes, I guess, if Karna's true lineage was known, then Karna and Arjun would definitely have been great friends...
