We have a good sense for music and thats why we are disappointed abt the elliminations and backout of the deserving artists. ..may be you don't understand that these musical / reality shows are not abt sense but only abt raising there TRPs, they r not bothered abt the real talent......they care damn if Sufi, folk or bollywood wins..they just need their TRP and for that they play all dirty politics.

hmm adrienne, i will try to vote for the sufi singers as much as i can..i love the genre and the songs they sing..

well i think i can guess why akbar ali, ali abbas could not get enough votes, what else can we expect from the normal voting public who can never keep their personal biasness aside and vote for the singing...

i hope kalpana, abhas or antara get eliminated next week but it is wishful thinking, i got a feeling abhas will win the competition.. he gets preferential treatment on the show

aman u need to calm down..... did u watch akbar ali's performance today for pundit hariji...... i think noone can stand in his competition.... malini is not even close, kalpana, antara, mohd vakil (even though he was good) anyone..... his performance brought tears to my eyes..... i sing myself...... i sing classical..... and i havent heard anything more heart touching than this..... my my!!!!!

the problem is that no one understands true sufi songs!! harshdeep has hardly sung PROPER sufi songs (even though i really like her voice and her singing)...akbar ali was the one who sang true sufi songs but the aam janta cannot understand his type of singing as his murkiyan and the harkatein in his voice only sound appealing to a small minority audience.....

but overall sufi needs votes

MALINI is the shittest singer in the competition!! i dont understand why she gets sooo many marks....her sur is never right...she hights certain notes and i feel like screaming coz its sooooooooo aggrevating to my ears....the only reason she gets marks is because she performs well...but she runs out of breath and then her singing goes hay wire...and her style is more like thos NAUTANKI ppl .....and kalpana sings in the same way EACHHHHHH time.....the best in Mati ke Laal is Lakhwinder BY FAR!~!

and in bollywood - sharib was very good he got eliminated...anand should have brought back Sharib coz ABHAS is soooo shitttt.......his voice is annoying and hee thinks he is sooooooo gooood!!

overall Ali ABBAS is the best singer left in the competition..........

Dear Sonu, I totally understand and agree with you, i don't deny that Akbar is a gr8 singer infact hes a pure classical singer and his taiyaari is even better than Rahat Fateh ali to certain extend but one needs to understand and keep in mind that this is not a classical competition, how can u compare a classical singer with a ghazal /sufi singer...lets say....Jagjit singh is a King of ghazals but u can't put Rashid khan infront to compete ...both r diff and best in there catagory...ali akbar has extremely gr8 Taiyaari but that was not suitable for Sufi genre and Common audience and thats why he never got votes...only people like you and me can appreciate which are not even 5 % so wht abt the rest.....As a classical bandish which akbar sang in front of Hari ji..i would rate him 10 out of 10 but if he was singing the same bandish as a sufiana song/ kalaam being in the competition ( Which he has always been doing ) than i wouldn't or not even Hariji give him the same rating....r u getting my point? I again agree with you regarding Malini shes very substandard and Abhaas's voice quality is still immatured..but the point is that ultimatly either Malini or Abhas is gonna win the Junoon which seems almost fixed .

You are right no one understands pure sufi songs..i wonder if even the mentor like Rahat fateh also understands it...coz he himself allowed his Sufi singers couple of times to sing such songs which were not even close to Sufi...i beg to differ that Akbar sang pure sufi... he sang few songs which were NOT SUFI AT ALL.......let me remind you of the song he sang...AAJ AKKAN WARIS SHAH NUN KITEHY KABARN WICCHON BOL....(u can search for his song on the UTUBE) Do u or Rahat saheb have any knowledge if this is a Pure sufi or any close to sufi song????? Let me take the apportunity to clarify..this is a Nazm Written by Amrita Pritam during the partition of INDO-PAK..and the subject in this is no where close to Sufism. Another song which Akbar sang was "KINNA SONNA TAINU RABB NEY BANAAYA and AFREEN AFREEN are this sufi songs just coz these songs are sung By the Gr8 Nusrat Ftahe ali????? Infact Ila ji did point out and said these were not the sufi songs. I don;t understand why these people taking so much liberty and making fool of a Common man..infact Junoon would have been a gr8 platform to promote the real Sufi or Folk which could change the whole musical senerio by not only entertaining us with such beautiful Folk and Sufi Kalaams but also educating and making aware/ introducing a common man with such a beautiful art form...but i guess the director/ producer or the channel needs more Nautanki to make the show popular rather than sticking to the authenticity.

Only two singers are best in this competition are Ali Abbas and Akbar Ali.

Although I loved Sharib and Love Abhas but no one comes close to these 2 fantastic singers. NO ONE. KDNBKD

I had tears in my eyes when Akbar Ali left and when he sang that classical cheez in front of Hariji 😭.

Why the change in format after Akbar's elimination???? wudnt it have been right to do this last week since all the wild cards were doen and there was no elimination?????

Like all of other GS' shows this one too goes down the drain!!!

Hope the 20 saves Ali Abbas!!! If he goes nothing left in the show for me

well i agree with you that a lot of the choices being made are not sufi - however akbar ali has probably sang the most SUFI songs!! but as they keep bringing up in the show - it seems as if the director and other show producers are changing song choices at the last minute to cater to the wider audience - so competitotes are not sticking right to their genres!! i mean like that song KHWAJA MERE KHWAJA - that is BOLLYWOOD! akbar ali comes from a khaandaan of Qawwals - he should have stuck to the pure sufe and qawali style songs that make SUFI SUFI! also - when he was singing songs that ppl had heard of like KHWAJA MERE KHWAJA - ppl were comparing him to the original - whereas by presenting proper SUFI, he had an advantage as no one would be able to compare him to the original - and plus he was better at these anyway! like SHARA DI GAL was awesome, tere ishq nachaya was amazing!!

i dont know what ILa ji's problem is anyway - ppl from her genre have sung songs that are not FOLK plenty of times and are bollywood style but she doesnt say anything then....YAAR BINA CHAIN KAHAN RE is SOOO NOT FOLK!! that was stupid that kalpana could get away with it.....

and that host - he needs to get a life!! kitna over hota rehta hai - hes sooo rude towards Anand i wanna punch him!!
