When Ekta Kapoor throws parties, she makes sure they rock. However, her birthday party on Friday night became dark when the 'high' spirited senior actress Surekha Sikri working in Balaji's Kesar made a rather unpleasant scene.

An eyewitness from the party gives us a first-hand account of the whole incident.

"When I entered the party, Surekhaji was grooving alone on the dance floor. After sometime, she walked up to Ekta and began hugging her and speaking loudly. Then she got even more boisterous and began pulling Ekta's arm and tugging at her. All this physical contact with her 'boss' didn't go unmissed by the revellers."

The pulling and tugging was hurting Ekta's arm and she was trying to disentangle herself and was looking around for someone to come and rescue her.

The source adds that along with Ekta, her close friends Neelam and Shabina Khan, who were standing with her, also had to bear the brunt of Surekha's behaviour.

The source relates, "After letting go of Ekta, she started pulling Shabina's hair and asking her who she was. She tugged her hair so hard that she had to be literally pulled away from the designer.

But the most hilarious moment was when Surekhaji slipped and held onto Ekta's skirt to balance herself.

Because of that, Ekta was struggling to keep her slipping attire intact. This will definitely go down as the most embarrassing moment for Ekta. She didn't know how to react because Surekhaji is so senior."

An actor close to Ekta adds, "This happened because Surekhaji had a few extra drinks. She was all right when we entered the party. Things actually got out of hand towards the end. I seriously didn't expect to see something like this, but such things happen."

We contacted Surekha to get her version of the story, but she sounded extremely wary when we asked her about Ekta's party. "Yes I was there, but what exactly are you trying to ask me?."

When questioned point blank if she was high and created a scene at the party, she said, "I don't know what you are talking about, seriously. I am shooting at the moment, so if you could excuse me."

We might add, drinking is known to cause amnesia too.

LOL!!!!!!! Thanx for sharing!!!!!! Even senior ladies know how to party with some booze!!!!!! Though this isn't something that no one would expect from her, this should be more embarrasing for her and not as much for Ekta!!!!!!!!!

I would say, it is totally unacceptable from a senior or junior employee to behave in such a bad manner. After all Ekta Kapoor is her boss. If she is senior and she deserved to be called Surekhaji, then other people especially the host of the party expects a reasonable soberness and decency at the party.
I think next time Ekta Kapoor should not invite her on any of her parties and let Surekhaji learn from her mistakes.
