Another shocking development going to take place on Star Plus soon! Buzz was doing rounds about the channel pulling the plug on all its afternoon shows.
The channel launched four new shows under its afternoon band viz. Kya Qusoor Hai Amla Ka (24 Frames), Ek Aastha Aisi Bhi (Shoonya Square Productions), Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji (Shashi Sumeer Productions) and Dhhai Kilo Prem (Sandiip Sikcand and Balaji Telefilms).
Love Ka Hai Intezaar (Alchemy Films) joined the wagon later and Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji was shifted to the prime slot.
The shows have been doing quite well and gaining love and appreciations from the audience but sadly, the channel had to take a final call on the fate of the shows undergoing through major programming changes.
Tellychakkar.com has learned that all the show will wrap up on the coming 30 September.
Our source informs us that the marketing strategy behind launching the afternoon slot didn't work in favor of the channel that's why the final decision has been taken.
When we contacted Alchemy Films' producer Siddharth P Malhotra, he told us, "Yes we have been officially told that the entire band is shutting..its unfortunate but it's not about one show it's a larger call and everyone has to take the hit!"
We tried to get in touch with producers Bhairavi Raichura, Sandiip Sikcand and Dheeraj Sarna but they remained unavailable till the time of filing this article.
