"Amla! You will fall down!" Abeer was frantic. Did she seriously have to climb on the ladder and fit that thing? Moreover it was going to rain, she was out of her minds!
" Wait! Let me fix this! The winds are blowing so fast ...I want to check this out" an elated glee shined in her eyes and in her smile. The one Abeer could never resist. And she called him crazy! Abeer grinned.
She slowly came down the ladder smiling at her new accomplishment. The wind bell chimes. It had a large bell whose bottom had blue butterflies arranged in a spiral fashion. As soon as she saw them, it warmed her heart so much that, even Abeer noticed the joy as she laid eyes on those butterflied danglers. The sound it made was the missing symphony of the house. It was soothing and pleasing to the ears. The feeling of her home being complete surged through her as the sounds spread over the beautifully silent place where she and Abeer resided.
Silence was not constant in their home, of course never. It was Abeer after all who irritated Amla to the zenith of her limit, leading to bickers and silly fights. But the silence that entrapped between them other than the times they laugh and squabble was blissful and enchanting. Those chimes were to be a celebration for the moment of quietness they spend with each other. Amla's smile grew wider.
" You didn't fit this thing in Mt Everest okay! Don't smile too much!" Abeer threw his words pulling her leg. Amla rolled her eyes. The idiot didn't even know to appreciate.
" Thanks - but no thanks" Amla stated. One thing got fixed in their room, now there was another work to do. She told him to keep the ladder back. Fixing new photographs, she replaced the old ones.
Memories reformed as she watched the new one that hung over their bed. Abeer and Amla holding each other close, smiling, blushing. It was taken when Abeer kissed her cheeks before Karuna could click their position. It was so rapid that even Karuna couldn't guess why an angry Amla was flustered. She could not help but smile thinking about it again. Abeer's mischievous glint still made her blush.
" Amla! You're making your husband a freaking servent!" Abeer jumped to the bed. He eyed her flushed state. It was always a treat to watch her that way, but without knowing the reason- it wouldn't be a greater one.
" You're welcome" Amla moved to only to be caught by him. She tumbled down the bed beside Abeer watching his mischievous smile again.
"I can make another moment, similar to that photograph you know" He stated pushing the strands of hair back to her ear. He could feel the warmness of her cheeks. She could never stop blushing when he was around. His smile grew wider.
"Abeer" she hissed, pushing him. Amla stood up eyeing him from the corner of her eyes and moved towards the window, watching the breezes blow heavily through the curtains. It was the evening times with rainy clouds that was more beautiful. The winds played through her hair as thunder struck the earth. The thought of smelling the wet mud very soon elated her. A cup of tea would make this even more perfect.
" You want tea Abeer?" Amla turned to him. He watched her, his hand holding his the head - with the help of his elbow. Amla felt conscious watching his gaze, something spread through her veins making her heart beats speed up it's pace. Her happy smile was now a nervous one. She felt - she knew what he was about to say.
" You know what I want Amla" Amla's heart beats marathon-ed as he uttered, the intensity in his voice brought jitters, making her wobbly. Every time when they did, it was the same way she felt - like a woman. She tried not thinking about it. Her cheeks reddened.
Rain poured down, as breezes blew constantly. The drizzles that touched the ground rose the aroma of the wet mud. The sound of wind bell chimes turned prominent. The silence and the sound of the chimes made her more nervous.
Abeer was close to her, she never realized it until now. So close that, she knew he could hear the sounds of her stubborn heart that was drumming against her will. Her thoughts were put to a pause when she felt his hot lips on hers melting her away along the rain.
His lips pressed more intensely, she paved way without her knowledge. Hands crawled towards his hair, she pulled him closer to her. She could feel the things he wanted to convey as he held her waist. The care that he had for her, the way he let her take the rule, they way he always waited for her opinion, even when he wanted to claim her.
Thunder clattered behind, through the window as the rainfall grew heavy. The sounds of the rain spread wide across their room mingling along the wind bells that chimed as the breezes blew graciously.
She felt elated with the new sound that melodiously spread through their room. It celebrated their love, the way she wanted it to be.
"Thanks for the chimes" Abeer said as he pulled out, grinning, panting fast breaths over her neck. Her smile widened as she looked into his eyes. He felt what she did. Amla brought her lips close to his. She was going to give what he wanted.
