Yeah yeah, Abeer is very remorseful, guilt stricken and what not, I get all of that and hey, that's good, but that does NOT in anyway absolve him of the crime he committed. He NEEDS to be punished along with his other friends, he NEEDS to be put behind bars and rot in jail for even daring to do this to a girl. Him and his friends GANG RAPED Amala!!!

So what am I missing here, please enlighten me? May be I didn't catch up with enough episodes but as far as I know, he was just as involved in the crime, wasn't he? Then why is there such excitement about these two getting together? Did I miss a crucial scene where they showed Abeer wasn't involved? Because otherwise, there's no justification for this ridiculous love story everyone is talking out. It just doesn't make sense.

Shouldn't we be focusing more on how these bloody culprits should be punished than a stupid and insensitive love story between a rape victim and her culprit? shouldn't we be focusing more on how to get this victim all the help in the world to cope with this and come out stronger? Shouldn't we be focusing more on reinforcing to Amala that this in no way was her fault, and reassuring her (along with making sure) that her culprits get caught and punished? When I found out that ITV is telecasting a show about a rape vicitm, I assumed that this is what they will be dealing with but no, we're still stuck in the olden times where a victim is married off (and even shipped!!) with her rapist. This is disgraceful!! So many young and impressionable kids watch TV these days, is this what the message this so called 'NAYI SOCH' channel wants to give out to these people?

I'm utterly shocked and cannot comprehend any of this. Am I the only one who finds this completely and utterly disgusting and outraging? 🥱

P.S.- My intention was not to offend anyone, I was just enraged after hearing about this new love story and wanted to vent my anger out.

my reaction was almost the same after watching that rape episode 😆 and how SP's nayi soch doesn't go well with this theme😆 though i knew the show is just a remake of a show of some regressive part of the world...not sure how they are going to justify it for the indian viewers...
my suggestion to u is better stop watching it once abheer marries amla thats what i'm also going to do...

First research about the show before making any judgment. People watch the shows of Ekta, Tewary brothers and Gul where the male leads torture, manhandle, humiliate, abuse, degrade and what not to the female lead for the 70-80% of the shows for even the smallest and stupidest reasons still you all people watch them in glee calling it hot and passionate romance of those couples. But in this show the male lead was literally under the influence of drugs and alcohol and still he did not raped the female lead unlike others. Not just that. When his friends were eve teasing the female lead earlier he was not involved in that and told them to stop. FYI, Kerim did not even raised his voice at Fatmagul let alone ever manhandling, torturing or slapping her. People can watch shows like Udaan, Begusarai, Ghulaam where the so-called male leads were actually criminals but call a show like Fatmagul as regressive. Tell me at least 2 shows of India where the heroine's husband is like Kerim and her mother-in-law is like Meryem(Karuna).

Actually even I haven't watched Fatmagul and I didn't even knew the story briefly before that rape scene. So when I saw Abeer blocking the way of Amala during the rape scene, I was like, fhat the wuck!!! Don't tell me that this guy is paired with Amala!!! And the scene was played out as if Abeer has actually raped Amala. I thought that what a regressive show this is. But then I came to this forum and got to know that Abeer has not raped her. Then I got a sigh of relief, lolz.

But for me, Abeer is equally guilty like his friends. I dont know why this excuse of Abeer being drugged and drunk is used?? Weren't his friends too were drunk? Why aren't they getting the same excuse? Maybe they wouldn't have raped Amala if they had been in their senses. I am okay with the pairing of Amala and Abeer but not coz he didn't raped her but coz he is feeling guilty for his acts.

Right now it's like a suspense for viewers that is Abeer also a part of the crime or not; the way it's shown; viewers who haven't watched fatmagul might consider him part of the crime as the scene ended in cliffhanger; later it would be revealed he didn't do anything but was just a witness to the crime and couldn't stop it as he was completely drunk

Getting a victim married to her rapist is the worst thing that can happen to a victim!

So, i'm crossing my fingers and waiting for the makers to give some logical and acceptable reason before marrying them off. Otherwise, i'm gonna stop watching this serial.
If Abeer actually raped Amala, then i'm not interested in seeing how good a husband he proves to be later.

because whether u like it or not, the original and main plot is amala and abeer marrying and eventually falling in love. that is not gonna change. none of u wna see beyond a particular point and i also suggest to read the disclaimer before watching the serial. its fictional for gods sake ! yes its an attempt to change some people's thinking but its still a fiction ! stop being so emotionally affected by it !

I guess this forum is for an open discussion. People watching this serial can share their views irrespective of whether they are positive or negative. And I didnt find any comment which is completely bashing the serial? Everyone has their own thought process and we should respect each of them.
