Karan and I have our fights but we like it that way : Kritika Kamra
She is just 21 but has a huge fan following. In a chat with TellyChakkar KRITIKA shares her joy to see her favourite show KITANI MOHABBAT HAI make a return to the small screen.
You had said in one of your interviews, 'I wish I could start shooting again from the first episode.' You've got a chance now?
Actually when the show was going off-air we had become so fond of the show that it was difficult to believe it was going off-air. To move away was very difficult but soon we got to know that Kitni was making its way back and we were so excited.
It's a perfect sequel with the same characters Arjun and Arohi but with a new story-line the expectations are going to be a lot more, we want to make it better this time. The title and the character names are the same because people were really attached to them.
Is there something about your character you want to change this season?
I think we overdid the crying bit. Some scenes were so beautifully that you couldn't do much but cry. But, I am happy that this time my character is a happy-go-lucky, fun one. In the earlier season, she was an ideal daughter but here she is street smart and crazy girl.
You're getting to work with Karan (Kundra) once again'
We have worked with each other so much that we feel our real and reel lives will be the same now. But, fortunately, we are never bored of each other. It's also easier to discuss things as we understand each other inside out.
SHAH RUKH KHAN is your favourite actor do you wish to work with him?
It's been a dream since childhood to meet him. I cry watching every movie of his. I do not mind if I don't get to work with him, even a little conversation with him would do. It's not that I haven't seen him till date; I have seen him in award functions but I am still as crazy. But, I do not do things for him as much as my fans do for me. They love me so much that they keep writing in to me in spite of me not responding to their e-mails. Their love is simply unconditional for me. I feel truly blessed.
When you had come to Mumbai you did not know what it was like? How is it now?
I was a typical Delhi girl when I had come to Mumbai for I had stayed there done my schooling and college. When you have stayed in a place for too long you get attached to the people. But, now I feel Mumbai has got to me. I remember some time ago I had gone back home but was getting crazy to return to Mumbai. I think Mumbai and I have become friends.
When do you and KARAN (Kundra) plan to tie the knot?
I don't know, though people keep speculating about it all the time. I am anyways just 21 and I feel both of us still have a lot of time to get married. For now we are the best of friends, we enjoy being that way. We do not have a mushy- mushy relationship, we do have our slanging matches but we like it that way.
Are there any dreams to fulfill?
I have a lot of dreams and I keep finding new ones. Career wise, I want to do something bigger in the near future. I would like to do films but if something comes my way I don't mind working hard.
Are you fond of gifts?
Yes, I am very fond of gifts. My dad has always given me a lot of them. My dad was always fully involved in my upbringing. He would help me choose my clothes.
Karan, too is gifting me all the time. He recently gifted me a Blackberry and now since he had been to London, he got me clothes and perfumes. They keep spoiling me and I love it.
Any message for your fans?
Thank you. I owe to you guys. They are the ones who demanded the show to return . This is for the first time a show has made a comeback on public demand. Karan and I had never expected this but it's their love. I wish I could personally thank each one of them.
