Television actress Sangeeta Ghosh, who stayed away from the limelight for six years is back with a bang on TV with 'Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara'. The actor is also in a happy space personally after her marriage with polo player Rajvi Shailendra Singh Rathore of Jaipur.
Ask her how life has changed post marriage andSangeeta answers looking a tad confused, "Sometimes I feel life hasn't changed at all, but sometimes, I do feel ki bahut kuch change ho gaya hai. I am still a workaholic as I was before marriage. But pehle mujhe ghar jaake kisi ko jawab nahi dena hota tha, now I am answerable to someone. But you know, life is very good after marriage, provided you've married the right person."
However, after making a comeback on the small screen, Sangeeta had to do a lot of explaining to her hubby. "It is because my husband is not from the television industry and I have to explainevery small detail of how this industry functions to him. Starting from what he is seeing on the show to the promotional tours, which are a must for me and the show, I sit and explain everything to him. He says ki itna bhi kya kaam hai that I am working for hours on end. I took him to the sets too, and now he knows what goes behind the camera. Similarly for me also, since he is a polo player, mujhe nahi samajh aata tha ki ghodon ke peechhe paagal hone ka kya matlab hai. Match khatam hone ke baad bhi aap chaar-chaar ghante wahan baithte ho. But now I have got used to it."
And though Sangeeta is on cloud nine with her show garnering good TRPs, we wonder what made her sit at home for these six years. "It was never that I didn't have work, but by God's grace, I chose not to work. If not everyday, every month I had offers for at least one or two shows. But my mind doesn't rule me, my heart does. I can't tell you how much money has been offered to me for shows, but that was never my priority. I knew that money will not make me happy," she says, adding, "I learnt cooking, I travelled, I looked after my parents, I learnt horse riding and luckily, I met my husband there, I fell in love and got married. But my biggest achievement during these six years when I was not working has been that I built a new house for my parents. My father was very ill and I wanted to do everything for him; I wanted to spend time with him as much as I could. My father unfortunately passed away but I am very happy that I was with him all these years. After my dad passed away and I got married, my mother fell ill and it was then that my husband and I decided that I needed to be in Mumbai with my mom to look after her. And surprisingly, it was he who suggested I make a comeback."
