A short intro about him

Syed Zain Imam was born on 18th May 1988 at New Delhi. Zain Imam is an MBA graduate.

He began his career as a model.

Imam's first work as an actor came with MTV India television series Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan where he played Abhimanyu Thakkar. Later on he got huge success with his grey-shaded character of Yuvraj Luthra in Zee TV's show Tashan-E-Ishq .

Then Imam was cast as Abir Dharmadhikari, new male lead of Zee TV's Yeh Vaada Raha when it took a large leap, from October 2016 to January 2017.

Zain Imam got his biggest success when he was introduced as ACP Neil Khanna in Star Plus's drama Naamkaran with Adithi Rathore after a generation leap, in which he got huge love and support for his performance and chemistry with Rathore.

After doing an episodic in &Tv's Laal Ishq with Mahhi Vij, Imam entered the popular StarPlus series Ishqbaaz as Mohit Malhotra, a full-fledged antagonist.

Venturing into reality shows, Imam next participated in the adventure stunt-based series Fear Factor : Khatron ke Khiladi 9 in 2019 where his place was 9th.

Imam's subsequent fictional role as Kabir Mittal, a former army officer in StarPlus' mystery revenge drama Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna.

Zain Imam is all set to return to television after a long break of 3 years with his role of Agastya, the main antagonist in Gul Khan production Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan on Colors TV.

However, we do allow minimum chatting in ATs, provided it is related to this AT alone. Additionally, do not spam with just emotions/numbers to increase post count/pages. We are allowing chatting to occur in ATs, but this does not mean that members should just go on for pages and pages with chatting since the premise of the thread is for the appreciation of a contestant. Non-essential chatting or spam comments in the hopes to increase pages or just for general chatting in no relation to the show can get deleted, and if this occurs consistently in the AT, the AT or individual members may obtain a warning.

Everyone has the right to voice out their opinions and should NOT be judged/generalized based on their likes/dislikes. If any of your fellow members/friends fail to follow the rules, kindly ask them to edit out or tell them its wrong rather than joining them and aggravating the issues further and being equally responsible for carrying forward an unfavorable situation. Hence, be responsible and take responsibility because that way you may prevent action taken against your AT.

Penalties: If the Dev. Team sees more than 3 people breaking AT rules constantly twice in a row for a week, the effects of violations will kick start, which go as follows:

First violation: Warning note

Second violation: Another warning note

Third violation: Another warning note

Fourth violation: AT closed for 24 hours (1 day)

Fifth violation: AT closed for 72 hours (3 days)

Sixth violation: AT closed for 1 week (7 days)

Seventh violation: Get rid of AT completely from the Fanna Ishq Mein Marjawan Forum or AT shifted it to Celebrity Fan Club Forum.

This bubbly young handsome guy began his acting career in youth show Kaisi yeh yaariyan starring Parth Samthaan and Niti Taylor.

Abhimanyu Thakkar

Abhimanyu Thakkar who is Mukthi Varadhan's love interest, aims to spread happiness around him despite having only 6 months to live because of an unknown terminal illness. He falls for Mukti at first sight and vows to help her to come out of her addiction. Abhimanyu also helps Nandini to realize her feelings for Manik and reunite with him. Mukti falls for him despite knowing that he is a cancer patient. He departed the show soon after, and his exit was marked by him leaving a letter to Mukti, apologizing and explaining his problem. Even though his role was short fans demanded his entry in the show once again. Seeing Mukti and Abhimanyu's chemistry fans went crazy and began to fall for them too demanding their jodi. Their onscreen jodi ship is called as MukBhi. In short his role as Abhimanyu Thakkar taught us even-though our life is short live the fullest, make others happy till you are alive. Abhimanyu Thakkar is role model for everyone and Zain did a great job as Abhimanyu.

Yuvraj Luthra

At 2015 our newbie Zain Imam got a role as Yuvraj Luthra in a show named Tashan-E-Ishq. He is the main antagonist of the show. Zain who played as a bubbly happy going young man in his previous show played a grey shaded character named Yuvi. He never failed us to impress with his jovial, funny character in the beginning of the show but later on his transformation as antagonist gave a pleasant surprise to his fans and even made fans to fall for bad boy Yuvi with his amazing villainous skills. Zain gave life to Yuvi in this show. Coming to the character Yuvraj "Yuvi" Luthra and Twinkle Taneja (Jasmin Bhasin) are lovers. Their respective mothers Leela Taneja and Anita Luthra, are rivals. Leela wants Twinkle to marry another guy Kunj Sarna(Sidhant Gupta). In actuality, Yuvraj is faking love and wants to destroy Twinkle to take revenge on Leela for Anita. Over Yuvraj, Twinkle chooses and marries Kunj. Yuvraj realizes he is really in love with Twinkle now. Yuvraj tries to create problems in Twinkle's life and kill Kunj. Twinkle and Kunj fall in love and want a happy life. But Yuvraj remains a threat to them and keeps on interfering in their lives. Drawing strength from each other, Kunj and Twinkle fight Yuvraj's all intentions. Things take a turn when Twinkle saves his life when he falls into his own trap of killing her. Yuvraj changes the heart. Kunj is believed to be dead but was saved. Later on Yuvi marries Twinkle as she was pregnant with Kunj later on she suffers a miscarriage. Zain Imam did wonders by playing as obsessed lover "Yuvi" where the character to goes to extreme extent to marry Twinkle. His smirk, his badass behavior everything attracted the fans towards him and made everyone to fall for antagonist Yuvi. But later on Kunj returns Twinkle reunites with him and both for framed as murder for killing Pallavi who was killed by her own servants. But the actual twist is Yuvi with a help of girl named Simple saved Twinkle and Kunj from murder case. Yuvraj falls for Simple and marries her later. Zain's role as Yuvi gained his popularity as well as an award for best antagonist.

Abir Dharmadhikari

Once again Zain Imam got a offer from a Zee Tv show Yeh Vaad Raha. This show took a big leap of 15 years which focused on previous jodi's daughter. Zain Imam became new lead of the show named as Abir Dharmadhikari. Though the show lasted for only 3 months Zain Imam did justice as Abir. Abir is play boy by nature and he loves Khushi ( Sonal Vengurlekar) and are forced to marry. And show continues how the face hardships together and understand each other. Zain's role as Abir began from November 2016 till January 2017.

Naamkaaran

Zain Imam got his biggest success when he was introduced as ACP Neil Khanna in StarPlus's drama Naamkaaran with Adithi Rathore after a generation leap, in which he got huge love and support for his performance and chemistry with Rathore. Naamkaaran took a leap of leap of 15 years where the elder Avni was played by Adithi Rathore and Zain Imam was paired opposite as ACP Neil Khanna. Fans went gaga on seeing Zain as Police Officer and his chemistry with Adithi Rathore was appreciated and got awards world wide. Even their off screen bonding was adored and they were fondly called as AdiZa. ACP Neil was shrewd, intelligent, clever, a good husband, a good son and a honest police officer. Even Zain mentioned in most of his interviews that Neil Khanna is his favorite character played by him. Neil Khanna was perfect example as an ideal hero. Zain with his handsomeness and wonderful acting created wonders on screen while watching. A single thread is not enough to appreciate Zain as ACP Neil Khanna. This show mainly focuses on Avni an illegitimate child of Ayesha and Ashish. Avni and Ayesha is not accepted by her grandmother Dayawanthi(Ashish's mom) as Ayesha is Muslim. Both face hardships created by Dayawanthi and later Ayesha is murdered by Dayawanthi and Avni returns back after 15 years to take revenge from Dayawanthi with the help of her step mom Neela. Throughout the entire show Neil helps Avni to overcome and destroy Dayawanthi and later on face problems created by Neil's ex lover Juhi and her husband Vidyut. Then show took a 10 year leap where Neil becomes a Radio Jockey due to Avni's (fake) death. AvNeil has a son Mowgli and how Neil identifies his son and re unites with him forms the rest of the story till end. Naamkaaran gained him immense popularity and huge fandom and Neil became everyone's favorite and dream guy of girls. Well to know more watch him as Neil you will understand. These words are not enough to describe Zain as Neil.

Arjun Singh

In 2018 after Naamkaaran, Zain acted as Arjun Singh in romantic/horror television series Laal Ishq that aired on &TV opposite to Mahhi Vij. Title of the episode is Raatrani which focuses on, After Arjun realises that Nidhi is cheating on him, he decides to go to Bhopal to apologize to his former lover Seher(Mahhi Vij). There, he learns of a shocking truth. You can watch the entire episode on Zee5. It is 2nd episode of Laal Ishq.

Mohit Malhotra

Later on after Laal Ishq on the same year Zain Imam entered in to the popular show Ishqbaaz as Mohit Malhotra, friend of Shivaay and wife of Nancy. Here once again after Taashan E Ishq played as negative grey shade character. Here in this show Mohit will be attracted towards Anika and kills (fake) his own wife Nancy as he wants to marry Anika. He frames Shivaay as murderer later on Anika with help of Oberoi brothers saves Shivaay and made Mohit to get arrested with the help of Bhavya. Though his onscreen character on the show was too short he developed a great bond offscreen and even actors wished if his character gives a comeback.

Kabir Mittal

Few months later Zain was back as lead in the thriller show Ek Bhram... Sarvagun Sampanna as Kabir Mittal opposite to Jhanvi Mittal / Pooja Sharma (Shrenu Parikh) in Star Plus. He played as an young army officer role. All fans were excited as he nailed as ACP Neil. Here Jhanvi Mittal who is first shown as ideal bahu is a grey shaded character who seeks revenge from her in-laws as they killed her father. Later on Kabir finds out Jhanvi intentions and was in a mission to save her family from her. Thus, starts a cold war between Pooja and Kabir. Kabir kidnaps Pooja's mother and asks Pooja to marry him in order to save her mother's life. Helpless, Pooja agrees and the two get married. Slowly, the two see each other's good side thus softening towards one another. Hesitant at first, they later accept having fallen in love with each other. Rani (Pooja's sister who had interest on Kabir and wish to marry him) turns vengeful towards Pooja, unable to accept Kabir with someone else. Eventually, Pooja and Kabir clear through all the plotting and misunderstandings and unite. Even - though this show was short lived the nok-jhok chemistry between Shrenu and Zain did wonders and was adored by everyone.

Agastya

Later on after taking nearly 3 years break from ITV Zain is back with same charm with psycho vibes to thriller show Fanna: Ishq Mein Marjawan. It is a great news and unexpected news for Zainains as we are going to watch him once again on our tv screens. All the best this show will give you immense success and lots of love.

All of us have enjoyed watching him in that film, and actors like us have always been inspired by him. But there are obvious differences between SRK’s character and Agastya, and comparisons wouldn’t be fair to either one. Agastya is best friends with Paakhi, and he is in love with her.
