"SITA: The pillar of strength in Ramayana."
🪷
Sita was found as an abandoned child, discovered in a furrow while ploughing in a field. Since birth she knew that she was not a real daughter of King Janaka and Queen Sunaina, but she fulfilled all the responsibilities of a daughter and crowned herself as Mithila's Maithili, Videha's Vaidehi and Janaka's Janaki.!

In her teenage, she has heard greats about Lord Rama. The broad shoulders, mighty arms, a conch-shaped neck, a charming countenance, and coppery eyes figure have already made Sita to worship him. A man who displays perfect moral as well as social behaviour made Sita to silently pray that Rama should end up becoming her husband in her forthcoming Swayamvara.

At the Swayamvara, to the utter surprise of all present there, Rama lifts the bow with remarkable ease and strings it with a resonant twang. Sita is very pleased that her prayers are answered and coyly garlands Rama with the varamala. She has surrendered herself as the soul of her husband, promising to be at his side in the each coming situation of the life.

Sita, who has been used to living in the lap of luxury, willingly sacrifices everything for the sake of her husband and happily joins her husband on his Vanavasa. Not wanting anything in her life more and to be on the side of her husband always, Sita's sacrifice inspired every woman to be become a pativrata.

Throughout her one year of captivity in Lanka, Ravana keeps expressing his desire for her, but Sita refuses to heed his advances and maintains her chastity. She refused to accept the royalty of Lanka and chooses to live the simplicity of forest with her Rama. She was devoted to her husband and was sure of Rama to win over the cruelty.

When Sita entered the test of fire, the coals in the fire turned to soft lotuses when she stepped on them. The most purest substance in the whole world, Sita became the epitome of purity and love for her husband.
🪷
At the time of her second Vanavasa, Sita made her twins to learn all the qualities of Raghukul preparing them the heirs of their father. Setting all the responsibilities of a mother, Sita has promised herself to handle her kids to Rama.
🪷
When Rama approaches her, Sita is no longer willing to return to Rama or Ayodhya and instead, chooses to seek final refuge in the arms of her loving mother, Mother Earth, considering her life's mission complete.
🪷
Not for nothing is Mata Sita regarded as the epitome of womanhood. Sita's life was filled with trouble and turmoil and yet, she stoically maintained her calm and dignity throughout. The values that she adhered to and represented at every point in the course her arduous life have now translated into becoming the values of womanly virtue, held sacred by all generations of Indians, past, present and future.
