Did he want bhaiji to wake up in the middle of surgery or just feel pain

His original intention was to overdose Bhaiji so that he wouldn't wake up even if the surgery was successful.

But then Tara and Dhruv touched his feet, and Tara mentioned something about being honest to his profession, and his inner conscience woke up, and he told Dhruv to inject a lower dose of the sedative.

Tara asks Dhruv the identity of the girl he loves, and says they're in the mandir, so he can't lie.

He gives opaque hints- even says sadi, samay and adds that Tara has seen and met the girl, but Sukanya interferes at that moment. Dhruv had positioned her to keep a watch on Senapati.

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if Tara thought Ayesha is the person 😆- there aren't many females she's met 😛

Tara had herself told her soldiers not to allow Senapati in, but he overrules them and strides in. He wants Rajvaidya to apply the poison, but the physician is trembling, and Senapati himself goes to apply when Tara stops him with her sword.

Tara tries to convince the King that Senapati is the traitor, but the King doesn't believe without evidence.

I do find Dhruv's romantic dialogues a bit OTT but somehow the scenes feel endearing. Probably the actors making it work. I like how Dhruv let Tara take the lead ( like always ) even today when she stood against Senapati. I appreciate that Tara didn't back off and didn't think twice before revealing Senapati's truth to Maharaj who is his usual dumb self even today.

Both Dhruv and Tara were the voices of the audience today.

Senapati - Main to bas yaha Yuvraaj ke ghaav ka nirikshan karne aaya tha.

Dhruv - Kyun? Aap chikitsak hai? Kya karenge chot dekhkar? 😆

Maharaj - Aapne ye Senapati Ji par talwar kyun... aur ye aapki vaani mein katuta aur chehre par krodh?

Tara - Kyunki ye isi layak hai.

After seeing his daughter and Senapati literally at each other's throats for most things over the last couple of weeks, they should have an inner monologue for the King whether his decision (to get them married) is the right one 😆
