Bobby Deol will be seen in a new look in his two upcoming flicks Naqaab and Sangeet Sivan's "EK". Designer Falguni Thakore is the one responsible for Bobby's makeover. We spoke to her to know more about Bobby's new look.
"Bobby's new look was designed keeping in mind the characters he is playing. He is wearing suits made in different styles and cuts, leather jacket and blazers so that he looks great on screen," says Falguni, best known for giving Bollywood its first item boy – Abhishek Bachchan in the Rakht song One Love.
"We also changed his hair colour from black to brown and kept his long hairs so that it would not look curly,' adds Falguni.
"In terms of clothes, Bobby is not comfortable with synthetic fabric," reveals Falguni. "Even I don't use them, so it was not a problem to convince him to use my costumes. He was given the clothes he likes to wear."
How different is Bobby from his father? "In terms of style, he is totally different from Dharmendra. Bobby was never compared with his father in terms of looks as far as I know. Both are different in terms of style. They are good looking and have their own charisma. But as Bobby is much younger, he has a very casual look. Dharmendra is more in the classical mould. The one similarity is that the both have a fantastic complexion."
So will Bobby be the next style icon in Bollywood? Naqaab, which is set to release in July, will tell us.
