Because Aamir’s fans don’t need anybody’s validation about their favorite. They seem to be the most secure bunch of people.
It's not so much about being secure as much as it's about Salman/SRK fandom being obsessed with box-office results of their movies.
Aamir took a break after the successive failures of Thugs and LSC. Salman doubled down by doing some shitty movies that he felt his fans would like. SRK piggybacked on the Tiger franchise and resorted to corporate bookings to amplify the collections of his movies.
Most Salman/SRK fans are box-office fans. Aamir never had that crazy fanbase. You could see it with Pathaan. That was the kind of movie SRK fans used to criticize Salman for. It was such a B-grade version of the Tiger movies.
Salman fans rarely seem to appreciate his underrated "flops." Meanwhile, SRK fans big-up every SRK movie no matter how awful it is. It's utterly bizarre.
Aamir fans usually don't tend to be box-office fans. That's the only difference. That said, Indian media, as such, are fans of box-office over cinema. So, you get these stupid fanwars flamed by the media itself.
