I think both Sara and Janhvi will survive.

Unlike Parineeti - Sara will be able to pull of a variety of roles. Plus she has her parents support and they'll guide her as well. I would say that after Priyanka Chopra someone has made such a impactful debut.

Sara won't need Dharma and I can bet you on that!

You're right she doesn't need Dharma. Unlike Parineeti, Sara has parents (and a grandmother!) who have accumulated a lot of goodwill in the film industry. And she's a Pataudi. That matters to Bollywood folk. Thank goodness she actually has talent and charm and fantastic screen presence, so that her lineage is actually secondary to her success at this point.

It's smart how they, whether it's Alia or Janhvi now, do a patriotic movie to win over the public. It's like they know that even if their acting is decent and nothing to rave about people won't call them out explicitly or drag them. Because people get so caught up in the patriotism that they see things through rose tinted glasses and feel the movie was good and the acting was great.

A recent example of that is Raazi. The film wasn't ground breaking or extraordinary and Alia's acting in it was not even that great. She acted better in her other movies, hell she was better in Badri Ki Dulhania lol. Yet the way people talk about that movie and her performance you'd think it deserves 5 Oscars.

Janhvi seems to have caught on. She's smart or rather KJo or whoever is advising her. 😆 😆

That's basically Akshay's career graph now.

P.S Jahnvi is also cross-eyed. Watch KWK carefully you will notice. Unfortunately surgery can't fix that.

Even if that's true, what's wrong with it?!

It's just not a conventional standard of beauty, which to some extent is still considered important to remain successful in the industry.

Sara's personality will get annoying soon. Bubbly types always get on your nerves after a while. What's cute and refreshing in the beginning ends up irritating the hell out of you when it goes on too much.

But she's average looking with that big chubby face and tendency to put on weight. That's a plus. The pendulum has swung in the other direction now after the era of all the tall skinny models. Alia is benefiting too from people wanting relatable looking actresses.

If Parineeti had planned her career well, these roles would have gone to her.

It's not the bubbliness that is refreshing about Sara's personality. It's the confidence, intelligence, and articulation. Those are not qualities anyone can fake. They are just there.
