EXCLUSIVE: Tara Sutaria signed opposite Shahid Kapoor for the remake o

After speculations about the film's hero, the
makers announced recently that Shahid
Kapoor has been signed on to play the
titular character in the remake of Arjun
Reddy. The plot of the film revolves around a
medical student and how he falls for her
junior.
About the film, a source had earlier
informed Mumbai Mirror, "The film is
scheduled to go on the floors in July and the
team is looking for an actress opposite
Shahid at the moment. While the locations
are yet to be finalised, the plan is to shoot in
India as well as abroad."
Sources have confirmed to us that the film's
leading lady will be Tara Sutaria, who will be
making her Bollywood debut with Student
of the Year 2. Tara has been shooting for
the film in Dehradun with Tiger Shroff and
Ananya Pandey.
Tara's debut film will hit the theatres on
November 23, 2018. Even before the release
of her first film, Tara has already bagged her
second film.
About the film, a source had also earlier told
Mumbai Mirror, "It follows Arjun's anger
issues after he suffers a heartbreak. The film
was widely acclaimed and earned cult status
in Telangana. Now, the premise will be
adapted to a North Indian setting."
Shahid Kapoor shared on his social media
page that he is a part of the film by sharing
a selfie with producers Murad Khetani,
Ashwin Varde and director Sandeep Vanga.
He posted, "Team ARJUN REDDY
is READY ! Here we go. Wish us luck guys.

Tara is going places. She has really good screen presence & seems a decent actress. Hope she does even better!

shahid is one of the better actors out there in bollywood, he has been good in every movie he has been in. why did ranveer get ram leela, bajirao etc? jab we met is one of the best love stories we've ever had , he is only in his 30's like ranveer, ranbir etc, bad luck shouldn't preclude him from getting good movies. he is good looking, can act, can dance, has good dialogue delivery what else is needed?

watch teri meri kahani, odd movie with no storyline but still watchable because of priyanka and shahid's screen presence and acting.

Yes, I agree, he is in 30s so he should get good movies too, but his filmography is still few years older than RS and RK with more flops, but shahid is million times better than Ranveer atleast onscreen, I would not disagree with that.

Jab we Met was a success story for both Shahid and kareena, neither of the two could repeat that kind of commercial success, infact even Imtiaz Ali could not repeat the JWM success as a director, so it was a special movie.

Teri meri kahani? Lol, No, PC and Shahid are a boring couple onscreen, not interested to waste my time.

Tara is a good actress with a great screen presence. Having watched both of her Disney shows, I can say she does really well in comic and girl-next-door type of roles. Hope she does well in Bollywood. We need competitions for Alia.

Heroes can have many many flops but still can get big banner movies but actress can't have even one flop they are deemed useless
