Sonakshi Sinha in talks to play a cop in
Nikkhil Advani's next, which is set in the
hills of Manali.
Sonakshi Sinha will be seen next in Abhay
Chopra's remake of the Yash Chopra-
directed 1969 murder mystery, Ittefaq, also
featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Akshaye
Khanna. She plays a homemaker, Maya, who
is a murder suspect, along with Vikram, an
acclaimed writer played by Sidharth.
Akshaye is the police officer on their trail.
Now, Mirror has learnt that the actress
could be playing a cop in Nikkhil Advani's
Snow, which will be directed by Ranjit
Tiwari, who recently made his directorial
debut with the Farhan Akhtar-starrer
Lucknow Central.

Confirming the news, Nikkhil said,
"Sonakshi and I had been in talks for
another film revolving around a real life
incident in which she's been paired
opposite Saif (Ali Khan). I was comfortable
with her so once Ranjit's script was
complete, I shared it with her. She showed
interest during the narration, we are now
waiting for her final revert, says the
filmmaker, going on to rave about Sona's
performances in Dabangg, Lootera and
Akira. "Akira in particular was a challenging
role with kickass action. There is a fair
amount of action in our film too which is
why I think Sonakshi is a perfect fit for a
role she has never played before.
Nikkhil goes on to add that the film is set in
Manali during the winter and snow is an
essential part of the narrative.
"It's a film on a serial killer, on the same
lines as David Fincher's The Girl with the
Dragon Tattoo and Tate Taylor's The Girl on
the Train. We are really excited and can't
wait for it to take off, he exults.
