Wow, perhaps the best article I have ever read! Amazingly honest! Can't believe how open he was, it is almost like how I feel like sometimes, when I have no work

I also miss the 90s so much 😭

His dad Dharmendra also went in to depression and started drinking in the (90s) because of lack of work

Didn't his wife inherit shit ton of money ? And so he kinda took it easy? The Deols operate on the 90s model where friends work with each other, promises to work with each other are kept and you kinda just keep it all in the family,.. that's why they can't keep up with the new age of movie making business... where it's all about the $. I believe sunny saw that initially in the 90s with Darr where the business had just begun to change. Even now sunny refuses to change, and bobby looks like he is trying to change and start being relevant again..

Please.

He had zero looks, bad screen presence and though I have not seen most of his films, nothing about him was impressive. His brother and dad were good looking, had great screen presence and in all the movies I saw, I understood why they were heroes. Bobby was there only because of his family IMO.

BW is not your family business that you can saunter in and demand a career. People can say Khans are old and still popular, why not him ? Well people just don't give careers, it happens because of the rapport they build with the public. If 50 plus year Khans or 60 plus Rajni are still popular and heroes it is because the pubic has given them that and it was because they apparently worked to earn it in their youth. You don't get to decide if you stay in BW, the public does. The hubris of this family, 😒

This song (along with the movie and album of Gupt) is one of my favorite songs ever.

Ah! To be a naive kid again. As if it is that easy. #LoveSucks #ItAintReal

His wife is very very rich, maybe he decided to take it easy & have his luxurious needs met after the roles stopped coming in.. Nice IV, btw.

The reason why people would not give him work must be that they'd prefer newer cheaper and much more talented actors for character roles than someone like Bobby. If he is seriously considering working in supporting roles in decent films then he should totally come out of his family movies which is what he is trying also, I guess. It is somehow a sad interview but it takes a lot of courage for people to accept that things have gone wrong with their careers and they are ready to start it all once again without any ego or pride, if his words in the interview are anything to go by.

Nice but surviving? 😆 Yeah sure, with an office and a beautiful terrace in Juhu. 😆

Again, amazing interview, read it 3 times already, it doesn't matter if you like him or not, thats not the point

I hope other actors can give interviews like these, so open!

I would like Rishi Kapoor to talk about his transition period from hero to character actor roles like this. I heard 1997-2000 was a terrible depressing period for Rishi, he was getting drunk, violent (beating Neetu Singh), just because he could not find good roles. This is one thing he skipped in his biography
