Son Sunny Khez Khabar
Sunny Deol has filed a defamation suit of Rs. 200 crore against Big FM because he feels that their spoof program is maligning the reputation of him and his family.
Big FM has a spoof program called Yeh Sa sani nahi, yeh Son Sunny Hai which they have been airing for months. There is a guy who imitates Sunny Deol and a drunkard represents Dharmendra.
The reticent actor who leads a private life an is known for his humility and good manners, couldn't take the humiliation any longer and filed a suit against the radio station. At a press conference held at Radio Club, he said, "I am compelled to talk this issue right now. My father, mother, brother and I tolerate a lot of things but there is a limit to everything and that limit must not be crossed. Ab mera khoon khaul raha hai aur mujhe bahut dard hua hai. The person who does all this (makes such spoofs) must think about how his own family would feel if somebody were to spoof them. All I am saying is please understand the pain of my family. My father has been here for many years and now it is my brother and me. We have always done good deeds and I know how much people love us. I cannot take anything against my family and that is all I would like to say."
His lawyer Ashok Saragi, said, "The show has been on air for a long time. But over the last few days, Sunny has been getting phone calls from everywhere asking him if he was actually in the radio station doing the commentary. It's annoying for him because the jokes cracked at his cost are vulgar and disrespectful."
He added, "It's so pressurizing for Sunny to tell everyone that he isn't behind the vulgar humour being dished on Son Sunny. So, now the channel had better answer us."
