honestly I found Ram to be quite unlikeable in the way he behaved with Priya today.
I agree with his mother that he really seems to value nothing but outward shine and has lost touch with his roots and being able to actually judge someone's real character. if he has built his way from rags to riches, his number one priority should be to value peoples struggle and know that they arent unworthy because they arent rich or extravagant in their lifestyle and to know who are his real and fairweather friends are. he may love the attention and do a big show of loving all these people in his life but if he doesnt know who among them is truly going to stand by him and can be counted on then he is a bad judge of character. cant sustain a business empire for too long if he cant even judge a persons real character. so its counter intuitive that a person like him doesnt really know whats real and whats fake.
the fact that he judged the size of her clinic, ate her ENTIRE cake pretty shamelessly which she offered so kindly just because she felt bad to see him hungry and then offered condescending advice throwing random technical/medical terms about diet and exercise options as if Priya wouldnt know, made it seem like she's hardly busy in front of a hotshot CEO like him and even after she refused to take an exorbidant amount for delivering care in extreme circumstances- on a holiday night - after usual business hours- he still didnt even say a proper genuine thank you for taking good care of his mother. and then we see that he has also judged her looks. he seems to be pretty shallow. he also was condescending by deliberately making a distinction between doctor and dentist.
thankfully atleast he hasnt lost the bond with his mother, his jaan as he has lost himself in the chaka chaun of his newfound life. thats his only redeeming quality as of now.
Ram's mom wants a good girl for her son who will love him and ground him. but is Ram gonna be a good choice for that girl if he isnt really going to value her, her career and her dreams - even if they are much more simple and non ambitious?
Their chemistry is still magic. but I am unable to connect with Ram. Once again I am drawn to Priya and in love with her already. she is so trusting, so kind, so wonderful. I am glad Ram's mom already loves her and has immediately seen her for how sweet and amazing she is.
really loved today's episode ... both Ram n Priya are shown to have their flaws and all , but ultimately good ppl with great chemistry lol.
