"Yes, you hear me right... your friend Nishant Ranawat is a monster..." Sanyogita's voice cracked, her words trembling with pent-up emotion. She closed her eyes, and tears began to fall, streaming down her cheeks like rain. Her voice broke, "Nishant... was the boy who trapped my sister... he's the culprit..."

The words hung in the air, a damning indictment, as Sanyogita's body shook with sobs. Her pain was palpable, a living, breathing entity that filled the room, making it hard to breathe. Prithvi's face was ashen, his eyes wide with horror, as he stumbled backward, as if punched in the gut.

The silence that followed was oppressive, a heavy blanket that suffocated all reason, all doubt. Sanyogita's tears fell like a confession, a testament to the anguish she'd carried for so long. The room was a witness to her shattered world, where trust was a luxury she could no longer afford.

Prithvi paused, his mind racing to find a way to shatter the misconceptions that had taken hold of Sanyogita's heart. He moved closer, his hands gently encircling her arms, as if to anchor her to reality. "Listen, I think you have a misunderstanding," he said, his voice soft and urgent.

He lifted her chin, his fingers brushing against her skin, and made her face him. "Jaan, look at me," he whispered, his eyes pleading for her attention. "Nishant is totally different from what you're presuming. He's not capable of what you're accusing him of. I know him, and I can vouch for his character. He's not just my friend; he's one of the best people I've ever met."

Sanyogita's tears continued to fall, but Prithvi's words seemed to penetrate the fog of her grief. He wiped her tears away, his thumbs tracing gentle arcs across her cheeks. "Nishant was the best student in our school, always kind and humble. He never looked down on anyone. And in his personal life, he gave his heart to only one girl, but she was already in love with someone else. He left for the USA, heartbroken, but he never lost his way. He qualified for a prestigious course in maths and computer science, excelling in his class. That's the Nishant I know. He couldn't have done what you're accusing him of. Never."

Prithvi's eyes oscillated over Sanyogita's face, searching for a glimmer of understanding. He held his breath, hoping against hope that she would see the truth, that she would recognize the Nishant he knew.

Sanyogita's expression remained rigid, her eyes frozen in a mask of pain and accusation. She removed Prithvi's hands from her face, her touch icy cold. "Prithvi, a qualification certificate doesn't make your friend a great man," she said, her voice dripping with venom. "Perhaps he's a scholar, but as a human, he's a criminal, a pervert, a psycho."

Prithvi's hopeful smile faltered, his eyes widening in dismay. He took a deep breath, struggling to rein in his temper. "Sanyo, do you know what you're saying?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. "Are you in the right mindset? Which blame have you tagged him with?" He spoke softly, trying to pierce the armor of her anguish, but Sanyogita's gaze remained unyielding, her heart locked in a prison of pain.

The air was heavy with tension, the silence between them a living, breathing entity that pulsed with unspoken emotions. Prithvi's eyes pleaded for her to see reason, to recognize the Nishant he knew, but Sanyogita's expression remained resolute, her conviction unshaken. The chasm between them grew wider, a seemingly insurmountable divide that threatened to consume them both.

"Yes, I'm in my senses," Sanyogita said, her voice steady, "but you're still blind to the truth. Everyone - Papa, DadiMaa, Anushka, Aryan - they're all blindfolded by his fake face. But soon, I'll reveal the truth... Nishant is a murderer."

Prithvi's face contorted in shock, his voice rising in protest. "Sanyogitaaa!!" He took a step forward, his eyes blazing with intensity. "How can you blame Nishant? He wasn't even in India at the time. And what you're saying is absolutely illogical. You barely know him, yet you're making such serious accusations. You're blaming my innocent friend!"

Sanyogita's gaze didn't waver, her conviction unwavering. "I know enough," she said, her voice cold. "And I'll prove it to everyone. You'll see the truth soon enough."

The air was electric with tension, the words hanging like a challenge between them. Prithvi's face was a picture of anguish, his eyes pleading for Sanyogita to see reason, while Sanyogita's expression remained resolute, her heart locked in a prison of pain and determination.

"Your innocent friend," Sanyogita said, her voice laced with venom, as she smirked and wiped away a tear from her left eye with the pad of her right index finger. "Your innocent friend is a liar," she continued, her words dripping with malice. "He put invisible blindfolds on your eyes, making you see a fake image of him. But now it's time to tear down those fake images... he's a scoundrel. No, that word is too kind. Nishant is a rapist."

Prithvi's face contorted in horror, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Sanyogitaaaaaaaa!" he exclaimed, his voice cracking with emotion. He raised his hand, as if to reach out to her, then stopped, his fist clenched, and pulled it back. His body trembled with restraint, his eyes pleading for her to take back her words.

The air was heavy with tension, the silence that followed Sanyogita's accusation was oppressive, like a physical weight crushing the air from their lungs. Prithvi's face was a picture of anguish, his eyes begging for mercy, while Sanyogita's expression remained resolute, her heart locked in a prison of pain and conviction.

Sanyogita turned away, her face contorted in anguish, her eyes closed as if to shut out the world. She stood there for a moment, her body trembling, before turning back to Prithvi. Her voice was broken, her words barely above a whisper. "Why, Prithvi? Why did you stop? Why didn't you raise your hand against me? You prove that you're the same, after all, you're a man!"

Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes, her voice choking as she struggled to breathe. Her words were like a slap to Prithvi's face, leaving him reeling with shame. He looked down, his gaze unable to meet hers, his voice barely audible. "Sanyo, I agree with everything you say, but you should have thought before making such a heinous accusation against Nishant."

The silence that followed was oppressive, the tension between them palpable. Sanyogita's tears fell like rain, her body shaking with sobs, while Prithvi stood there, his eyes downcast, his heart heavy with regret. The air was thick with unspoken emotions, the weight of their words hanging like a challenge between them.

As he gazed into her tear-filled eyes, Prithvi felt the weight of her pain settle upon him, like a physical burden. Despite his initial irritation, he chose to ignore it for the night, his concern for Sanyogita's well-being taking precedence. "You were so young back then," he said, his voice softening as he tried to reason with her. "How can you be so sure about what happened?"

Sanyogita's eyes flashed with a mix of anger and hurt. "What do you mean I was so young?" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. "Just because I was only 14 doesn't mean I wouldn't recognize those scoundrels. I lost my sister, Prithvi. They threatened me, trapped her, used her... and you're asking me how I can be sure? You're questioning my memory?"

Her words hung in the air, a poignant reminder of the trauma she had endured. Prithvi's expression softened further, his eyes filled with empathy. He took a step closer, his hands reaching out in a gesture of comfort, but Sanyogita's rigid posture warned him to keep his distance. The silence that followed was heavy with emotion, the weight of her pain and his helplessness hanging precariously in the balance.

"Sanyo, I recall Nishant wasn't in India at the time," Prithvi said, his voice laced with curiosity. "I wanted to meet him, but he claimed to be in the USA, where his season had already commenced. Moreover, he had visited earlier for his mother's treatment. I saw her condition firsthand - it was heartbreaking. She was a neuro patient, and her situation was dire."

Sanyogita's expression turned introspective, her eyes clouding over as if her thoughts were racing. Prithvi continued, his tone gentle yet probing, "You mentioned earlier that your sister never shared her personal life with you, not even about her boyfriend. Then how can you blame my friend?"

Sanyogita's frown deepened, her voice rising in anguish. "I didn't know earlier because Janvi di was traumatized, frightened. But my sister wasn't a coward... un logo ne unhe majboor Kiya... they forced her to end her life!"

"I understand your situation, but..." Prithvi began, his voice laced with empathy.

Sanyogita's eyes flashed with anguish, her voice cutting him off. "No, Mr. Prithvi Malhotra, you can't understand me. If you did, you wouldn't defend your friend so fervently. I thought, no matter what happened, my husband would always stand by me... but tonight, thank you, Mr. Prithviraj Malhotra, for proving me wrong."

Her words dripped with sarcasm, piercing Prithvi's heart like a dagger. He felt a heavy weight settle within him, his silence a testament to his shame. Just moments ago, he had been ready to slap her, and now, he was faced with the bitter truth of his own actions. He understood exactly what she meant - his defense of his friend had been a betrayal of her trust.

Sanyogita's eyes blazed with a fierce determination as she stepped closer to Prithvi, her voice low and menacing. "One thing I promise you tonight, Mr. Prithviraj Malhotra... I will show no mercy to those culprits. I'll let them bleed, slowly and painfully, every single day. I'll put them behind bars, no matter what it takes... even if I have to sacrifice my own life."

Her words dripped with venom, her gaze piercing Prithvi's very soul. "I'll make sure they suffer a thousand times more than they made my sister suffer. They'll never know peace... never find solace. The pain they inflicted on my sister will be nothing compared to the agony I'll unleash upon them."

******"

It was the very first time Prithvi witnessed her furious... he found her determined, a feared work within him when she said she can even take the risk of her life , he witnessed the strong aura in her vision.. her eyes were bloodshot.

Sanyogita came out of the room.

During the late night, in their bedroom, Sanyogita was sobbing in silence while keeping her back towards Prithvi who did the same. Although they were in the same bed, yet it seemed like the 7th ocean was apart from each other . Sleep was far away from their eyes .

He was distributed , he cursed his marriage one time again, another minute thought , couldn't understand how he would clear her misunderstanding and even felt irritated. He was angry at him one time again, angry with her. It was the biggest fight they had between them.

*************

In the morning Prithvi when he woke up couldn't find Sanyogita in the room . He thought to talk to her properly , he came downstairs and saw that she, along with Shambhavi, was busy in the temple of their house. Later she came and gave Prasad to everyone, although she came to him but remained silent, he felt a coldness in her gaze .

He decided he would talk to her in the office but in his disappointment, he had to leave earlier as he had a meeting from 9:30 in the morning.

Sanyogita also left for Office , when he was waiting for her in the car she sat beside him in the passenger seat , she did so because she did not want to give the hint to the family that they fought. Neither Prithvi nor Sanyogita talked in the car, not even in the office .

Although the meeting was held Sanyogita maintained her temper, Prithvi also talked with her during the meeting but it was in a formal way.

It was lunch break , Seeing Prithvi disturbed his PA ,Arjun asked him “ Sir, you are looking very disturbed today ? Is there anything that has happened ? Is everything alright between you and Mam?””

Prithvi looked at Arjun with a frown “ What do you mean ? Why do I feel like I have something with your Madam ?”’

“Sir, I saw you and Mam for so long and the previous day, even you were talking with Madam discussing everything with her, whatever maybe it was related to business , projects ,marketing or …

“Or?” Prithvi asked with raised eyebrows

“Sir…I’m your personal assistant you used to share your problem with me …I knew my Boss …you have your lunch with Mam everyday in the office …but today neither you nor even Mam asked about Lunch even more she didn't come to meet you at your cabin nor your visit to at her jun sounded genuinely concerned

Prithvi looked at Arjun but could not understand how he should proceed , how he would tell last night's fight with him he thought for a moment and asked “ Arrange the lunch for both your Madam and me “

“Okay Sir, But what would you like to have for lunch ?” “

“Ask your Madam ?”

“Okay , Sir “ saying this Arjun was about to leave the room but stopped when he heard

“Arjun , arranged some 300 red rose bouquets and kept them in Sanyogita’s room”

“‘Sir????””” Arjun looked at Prithvi with a gap and studied him

“What ?””Prithvi raises his brows

“Okay Sir, understand ….you wanted to apologise to Mam…I knew Sorry is the best thing about a married life …Tell your wife before going to sleep after waking up in the morning …” Arjun quipped

Prithvi chuckled deep down but outside remained silent , he glanced at Arjun and through the gesture of eyes told him to do his orders immediately .

After Arjun left the cabin , Prithvi kept his chin on his left hand from the previous night's conversion flashing before his eyes . He thought of talking with her today .

He took out his mobile and on the wallpaper found a funny picture of their honeymoon days . Memories are a thing if you make sad happy memories bring a pleasant smile on our face ..

There was a knock on the cabin,

Prithvi hoped it would be Sanyogita but to his disappointment it was Arjun’s voice

“May I come in , Sir??”

“Yes,”

“What happened ? have you done with your work?”

“Sir,” Arjun spoke with a low voice “ Ma'am isn't at her cabin , she had left a few minutes at the end of the meeting “

Prithvi looked at Arjun , with jaws tight deep down filled with frustration, he dialled Sanyogita’s mobile number more than 12 th times but neither did she receive his call nor checked his WhatsApp SMS .

“Damn it” He muttered, getting vexed as time passed as he was taking his temper test .

He was going to make a phone call at his home then stop “ what he will tell his family member why Sanyogita left office without letting him inform him but if he didn't know where she was it would make him restless. Since last night he could think about nothing everything happened haphazardly. Why was she blaming Nishant ?? one time he thought perhaps she has a mistake whatever she was presuming Nishant that was absolutely wrong another moment his brain was telling him she couldn't lie to him , as much he knew her there weren't any secret between them , What he couldn't deny her determined eyes , those were burning in the urge of avenge , he never found her furious before like previous night .

Prithvi felt ashamed when he was going to raise his hands on her for the very first time, he was guilty , then decided to talk to her properly during the Day .

Coming out of his thoughts finally dialled the telephone number of his house , after several ringing phones were answered by a worker. Prithvi felt relaxed as it wasn't anyone among his Grandmother or aunty . The worker informed him that Sanyogita wasn't at home. She is at the office right now.

Prithvi thought ‘“ is she on the way home ?? or somewhere else “

He calls one by one ,

He thought girls after the fight with husband or like their relationship before marriage whenever they had any fight she used to talk with Radhika her best friend , as it was the nature of ladies , they need someone whom they would be told their grieve, sometimes they need someone who would listen to them ..not making them understand only listen to them and all they want yes ,..yess..yess..

“Hello, Radhika “

“Yes , jiju” Radhika answered in the call on 3rd ring

“umm…Is Sanyo with you ?”” he said with a low voice

“No Jijju , Did anything happen there ?”” Radhika asked immediately as she knew even before marriage after the fight with Prithvi, Sanyogita used to tell her . Even she did the same thing after a fight with her husband. That's how both became best friends. Instead of judging and making back-p pitching, they at first hear the former and the latter make understanding in the end

“Nothing ..btw if she calls you or reaches you let me know please!”

“Yea sure, “ Radhika found a sudden softness in Prithvi’s voice , sensing something fishy she said “ Don’t worry, everything will be alright “

Prithvi sighed “ thanks ,”

“It’s okay “

After that, disconnect the call .

He dialled at Sanyogita’s maternal home , the person picks up the call , was Little Ariyan , Sanyogita’s nephew

“Hey, dude, what’s up ??”

Hearing Aryan kiddish voice a soft smile crept on Prithvi’s lips

“Arayan , have your Aunt come to your home ?”

“Nope “

“Okay, if she comes let me know “

“Yes, Prithvi “

After a while, he disconnects the call .

Prithvi now becomes worried, thinking about where she could go? He should have controlled himself last night . He knew how sensitive she was , when she got hurt she became silent. If she shouts and quarrels with him yet he has a chance to talk with her and make her understand but her silent treatment and ignorance kill him .

“BOSS , you have another meeting from 2:30 in the afternoon “ Arjun informed and continued “ again you have to talk with Mr. Tandan about our upcoming projects “

Prithvi was standing near the large glass wall of his cabin while keeping his hands inside his pants pocket , he shifted his arrows to Arjun

Although Prithvi looked at Arjun, but his mind was somewhere else then what he said left Arjun with an “O’ shaped in his mouth

“Cancel today's all the meetings”

“What?????””” Arjun slipped out with surprised

Prithvi looked at Arjun with raising eyebrows, although he understood the reason for his gestures .

It was the very first time Arjun saw his Boss postponing any meeting , like a work alcoholic man his Boss who was always punctual and could not spare anyone from the office for minor mistakes , including Sanyogita.

“Yes , fix another day and now talk about Mr. Tandan wala’s project discussion will take it tomorrow “

“No, Sir , tomorrow the whole day is packed up till Saturday “

Prithvi took a breath and averted his gaze outside taking a glance at the Arabic sea ““ them Sunday will be fixed “

Arjun looked at Prithvi, with a gap as if someone stole his purse on a crowded public bus .

“What happened ?””Prithvi asked to see the peculiar expression of Arjun

“Hiihiihii!! Nothing , okay Sir “ Arjun replied and thought he had frequent arguments with Maya, his wife , due to the office he couldn't take her anywhere. He fixed a date for Sunday assuming his Boss would be busy with his wife as in early marriage all the couples were busy making their partner happy, how much work goes in vain .

Arjun noticed Prithvi leaving, “Boss, are you going somewhere ”

“I have some important work to do “

Arjun looked at Prithvi with brooding eyes , then something hit his mind

“Sir, have you talked with Madam ?””

Prithvi looked back at Arjun and studied him then nodded negatively “, No,“

“Then where are you going Sir ? Is everything alright between you and Madam ?””

Arjun sounded genuinely concerned.

Prithvi kept his right hand in his pant pocket “ I’m going in search of Sanyo” he said with a sigh,

Arjun looked at Prithvi and thought perhaps something serious has occurred unless Sanyogita won’t ever miss such an important meeting knowing well how much Boss was strict regarding work .

Prithvi was about to move out then heard “ Boss, I’m also coming with you “

Prithvi turned towards Arjun , studied him , then shook his head gently in a positive sign .
