Siddhant Chaturvedi made his big-screen debut in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. He nailed his role as MC Sher, marking the beginning of his showbiz journey. However, that wasn't his first film project. In an interview, he shared about working on a different movie before the 2019 musical drama. Unfortunately, the film got shelved, leaving Sid devastated. The impact was so profound that Chaturvedi decided to shave his head.

Best known for his standout performances in Gehraiyaan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Siddhant Chaturvedi rose to fame after his role in the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy. In an interview with Mashable India, he shared about facing a challenging period when his initial movie, preceding Zoya Akhtar's project, didn't materialize. Recalling the experience, he mentioned being about 21 years old at that time and landing the role after auditioning for it.

So, Sid began prepping for his character with a six-month workshop. He even changed his hairstyle and wardrobe to match his character in the film. Unfortunately, the movie was eventually shelved. "Whenever I would look in the mirror, I would just see that character. So, I shaved my hair. It was a big hit for me as I had thought my life would be set after the film as I was getting launched," the actor shared.

The Phone Bhoot actor shared that when he landed the project at a young age, he initially thought it was a breeze, having gone through only 4-5 auditions. However, the reality hit him hard later on. "I was really low and for the next three months after that, till my hair didn’t grow, I was in a Zen mode after that," Chaturvedi disclosed. The cancellation of the movie hit him even harder because by then, Sid had abandoned his Chartered Accountant aspirations, and all his friends were occupied.

Having overcome that challenging period, he has now taken on new heights, recently starring in Ravi Udyawar’s action-thriller movie, Yudhra. His upcoming project includes Dhadak 2 alongside Triptii Dimri.
