Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Maira overhears Abhira-Armaan's argument, wonders if they're old friends

In tonight's Anupamaa episode, Abhira tries to show Armaan that she's moving forward in life by getting closer to Anshuman. Anshuman feels encouraged, thinking Abhira is beginning to warm up to him. However, during a pre-wedding photoshoot, he walks away to take a phone call, leaving Abhira alone with Armaan. Armaan uses the opportunity to try and discuss the upcoming wedding functions, but Abhira pointedly avoids engaging with him.

Unexpectedly, Abhira loses her balance and falls into Armaan's arms, and the moment stirs memories of their past for both of them. The photographer, noticing the visible chemistry between them, comments on it, which infuriates Abhira. She lashes out at him for capturing pictures of her with Armaan, insisting he delete them immediately. When the photographer mentions he assumed Armaan was her guest, Abhira firmly declares that he is not a guest, leaving Armaan stunned.

Armaan, trying to stay calm, tells Abhira that he's just doing his duty and asks her to review the event checklist, explaining that he wants everything to be perfect for her special day. But Abhira, clearly upset, mocks his words, saying she finds it funny because he never cared to make things perfect for her in the past. She accuses him of coming there only to disrupt her wedding and not letting her find peace.

In response, Armaan admits he can't undo his past mistakes, but he's trying to do at least one thing right, and that's why he's here, hoping to make things better, even in a small way. While they're caught up in their intense exchange, neither of them realises that Maira is hiding under a table nearby. Hearing their conversation, Maira thinks that Abhira and Armaan are talking like old friends.

Just then, Geetanjali arrives and tells Armaan that Maira is missing. He immediately grows concerned, and both he and Geetanjali leave to look for her. At the same time, Abhira also starts searching for Maira. Her eyes fall on a nearby table where a tiny hand peeks out from underneath, reaching for the sweets placed above.

With a box of sweets in her hand, she quietly bends down and joins Maira beneath the table. The two share a light and cheerful moment as Abhira offers her some sweets. Maira happily tells her how much she loves them. Seeing her excitement, Abhira gently lifts Maira into her lap and lovingly feeds her, creating a warm and tender moment between them. Maira sweetly says that from now on, whenever she feels like eating sweets, she'll come straight to her. She asks if Abhira will always feed her the same way, sitting on her lap. Abhira warmly promises that she will, always. Abhira gives Maira a peck on the cheek, sealing the moment with affection.

Watching them from a distance, Armaan is overcome with guilt for not revealing the truth about Maira's identity to Abhira. He decides to let them enjoy a few moments together. Soon after, Abhira comes across a police officer and inquires about Pookie. The inspector, however, bluntly tells her to give up the search, implying that Pookie might not be alive. Enraged, Abhira gives the inspector a piece of her mind. Kaveri steps in and apologises on behalf of Abhira, which only adds to her frustration. Maira witnesses this and tries to follow Abhira, but Geetanjali intervenes, attempting once again to take Maira away from Udaipur. Maira, however, refuses to leave. Elsewhere, Kaveri confronts Armaan with questions about him working under Krish. Armaan, surprised by her concern, pushes back with his own questions.

Back at the wedding venue, Abhira ends up hurting her stomach and starts bleeding. Seeing her in pain, Maira consoles her by applying ointment and encourages her not to be disheartened by the inspector's words. Maira notices that Abhira is hurt and gently helps her with the wound. Just as the two begin to bond, Geetanjali arrives and quickly pulls Maira away. She asks Maira why she came there. When Abhira tries to explain, Geetanjali interrupts her and firmly says not to associate Maira with her. She declares that Maira is her daughter.

Seeing Abhira in pain, Armaan silently watches, deeply affected by the situation. Abhira calmly responds that yes, Maira is indeed her daughter. Geetanjali pleads with her to stay away from Maira and keep her distance. Maira, seeing Abhira hurt, requests Geetanjali not to fight with her, saying that Abhira is in pain. Trying to hide her emotions, Abhira puts on a fake smile while Geetanjali walks away with Maira. A few moments later, Abhira notices Armaan nearby. She looks at him and says that he must be feeling lucky now, because Maira is just like Pookie. She adds that if Pookie had still been with them, she would have grown up to be just like Maira.

Abhira then says Geetanjali is the perfect person for him since she protects Maira the same way he used to care for Pookie. She wonders that there must be no disagreements between him and Geetanjali about Maira's upbringing, adding that both of them think alike. Abhira recalls the night Maira stayed over at her house and shares that she had a peaceful sleep for the first time in years. She smiles while describing Maira's sweet nature, calling her a bundle of joy and peace.

Then, with a heavy heart, Abhira tells Armaan that he must be happy now that he finally has the complete family he always dreamed of. She requests him to take good care of Maira, saying that just hearing her name brings a smile to her face. She fondly calls Maira a walking-talking bundle of cuteness, someone truly special. Though Maira isn't hers, she feels an unexplainable connection to her. Armaan remains silent, overwhelmed with emotion and the weight of the truth he still can't share. Without saying a word, he quietly walks away.

Geetanjali again urges Maira to leave Udaipur, but Maira stands her ground. Later, Armaan visits her, and Maira pleads to stay back. Armaan finally agrees and tells her to attend Abhira's wedding. As Krish asks Armaan to inspect the stage for the upcoming sangeet ceremony, Tanya strikes up a conversation with Abhira about her favourite food. Manisha chimes in, saying Abhira loves noodles, but Abhira reveals her preferences have changed. Maira arrives and interrupts their exchange.
