On the occasion of World Yoga Day, your favourite Zee TV actors talk about the importance of Yoga in their lives.
Deepshikha Nagpal from Vishnu Puran says, "Yoga has been a proven element in healing an individual not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well and I cannot possibly stress enough on how important yoga is for one's wellbeing. Right since, my schooling days, I have been practicing yoga and over the years it has only helped me gain more flexibility. Although, our regular lives and extreme work load don’t leave us with much time to be able to practice it daily, I have kept to it regularly during the whole lockdown-phase and that has helped bring peace and stability to go through the day. In such difficult times, yoga is one way to keep disturbing thoughts away and it has the power to connect oneself with their soul which brings in the much-needed positivity. The breathing exercises especially, help you align the chakras and that is extremely crucial for one's wellbeing.”
Anjum Fakih from Kundali Bhagya says, “While we were shooting, I hardly got the time to follow a workout routine. However, with the lockdown in place, I have learnt the importance of practicing meditation and exercising regularly. Meditation and Yoga helps keeping one healthy. I feel the most important aftermath of yoga is that it nourishes the mind and helps you keep calm. Since I have been home for so long now, I, without fail, practice yoga with my mother and I do intend to keep up at it with due diligence and I plan to continue this even after the shoots start and regularize the routine.”
Shraddha Arya from Kundali Bhagya says, "Yoga is something that has literally changed my life and how. Even though I don't practice all the asanas every day, I make it a point that I never skip the pranayama every morning. It is a brilliant breathing exercise that doubles to help calm the mind. It is a well-known fact, and I believe that everyone would agree that stress levels in our industry is way too high and pranayama and asanas that helps you breathe better works wonders. Yoga has so many exercises and its after effects are absolutely mind-blowing and it literally changes your life. It is of extreme importance, now that the world is battling such critical times, especially the breathing exercises since that will help keep your respiratory system healthy."
