What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is a style statement. I think your style is your fashion.

What is your comfort wear?
Jeans and t-shirt

Do you prefer making your own style statement, or do you just follow the trend?
Definitely, I would prefer making my own style statement because I am most comfortable wearing what I choose.

Are you fond of accessories?
No, I usually don't like to accessorize. I like to keep it plain and simple, but I do like to wear rings.

Any particular brand that you like?
Not really, when it comes to clothes I'm not very brand conscious.

Who is your favorite designer; Indian and international.
Designer?? Well I like Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis when it comes to Indian designers. Internationally I don’t really have any favorite designer.

Any celebrity whose dressing sense you like off-screen in Bollywood and television?
In Bollywood it would have to be Preity Zinta. In television, I haven’t really noticed anybody whose dressing sense is wow.

A must-have in your purse?
Money.

And your favorite make-up brand?
MAC.

Any celebrity, in television, whom you would like to give a complete makeover?
That’s a difficult one. I don’t think I want to answer that (laughs).

Any fashion faux pas committed by you.
Well, I don’t really think so. I always play it safe and I don’t think I have been in a situation wherein I have committed a fashion faux pas. In addition, as far as my memory goes, I have never been listed as one of the worst dressed celebrities.

And what’s the expensive outfit you own in your wardrobe?
My husband Indraneil, bought a dress for me from .

What is your favorite on screen outfit?
A plain saree.

Your favorite destination, if on a shopping spree?
I think is an amazing place for shopping, as the clothes you get there are fabulous and are very reasonable.

Keep it as natural as possible because that’s the in-thing right now.

Wear what you’re comfortable wearing, not what others follow. And the most important thing is that one should wear clothes that suit one’s body structure.
