Udaariyaan actor Ankit Gupta has been garnering a lot of love for his role of Fateh in the show. The show too, has been constantly chruning our interesting tracks, and features Priyanka Chaudhary along with Isha Malviya in the lead roles. The actor got candid about a bunch of things in a recent live session and spoke about things he would like to change in the entertainment industry, a role he really wants to play, what connects him to the character, and some more.
He briefly quipped how actors are often not serious when working on TV and treat it as a different medium. He said, ''I have seen a lot of actors not being very serious about when they act on Tv, as it is a small platform compared to web series and movies. But the essence of acting is what keeps me driving.'' He revealed how he can connect to the pain of the journey that the character goes through.
Among other things, he spoke about always doing diverse roles and that has what enabled him as someone who has a wide journey in the sense of characters he has played. Right from Balika Vadhu to Begursarai, to Sadda Haq, and more recently, his web series Main Hero Boll Raha Hu. He also went on to reveal how he wishes to play roles like that of Superman and James Bond, among others, and he tried to incorporate that during his fantasy show Mayavi Maling. He mentioned how though the show did not do well, he enjoyed a lot playing the character.
Ask him two things he would want to change in the working of the entertainment industry, and he said, ''Sunday should be fixed offs (laughs). In India, nobody wants to work on Sundays, no matter what you do or where you are, Sunday is a different feeling. Second one would probably be less working hours. Normal shift is for 12 hours, but we end up shooting for 14-15 hours, but if I can, I would probably bring it down to 8 hours.''
He added, ''While you're on set, you don't come to know it has been 12-13 hours because you love what you are doing so much. Some days are so lazy that you just don't want to get out of bed or do anything.'' Ask him what would he like to do on his time off, and he said, ''Since the time I started for Udaariyaan, I haven't really got an off, but if I do have an off, I would like to sleep the whole day, meditate, so I want to catch more on those things.''

I don’t like this show so much because Story is not relatable. No hard feeling for the actor.
