TRP Toppers: The Clash of Old & New 'Mahabharat' Begins!

The power of Indian mythology can indeed never be underestimated and it seems that this period of lockdown only seems to reiterate that fact all the more. We recently did a piece on how and why does Ramayan fetch these astronomical numbers and even the Top 5 is all about mythological shows, (you can read it here) but this week is another unprecedented example of the same.

Here's why-

Mahima Shani Dev Ki manages to continue its up and down journey in the list and is now on the 5th spot fetching only 1.3 points.

Making an entry into the list fresh into its telecast is Star Plus' Mahabharat. Considered to be the best adaptation in modern times among others, the Shaheer Sheikh-Sourabh Raaj Jain-Pooja Sharma led epic fetches decent numbers grabbing the 4th spot with 1.5 points.

Unsurprisingly, the older Mahabharat did well yet again and with a soaring 5.8 points, it is on the 3rd spot.

Uttar Ramayan, as we know is the continuation of Ram-Sita's saga with their kids, Luv and Kush coming into the equation. Having just launched with its rerun, the show fetched huge numbers with 12.2 points.

Ramayan, in the meantime, continued to be the untouched leader of the lot with an unbelievable 17.1 points.
