TMKOC fame Jheel Mehta Spills Beans on The Highest Paid Actor And Her Bond with Dilip Joshi

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running on TV for so long, keeping everyone hooked with its amazing storyline. Jheel Mehta, who portrayed Sonu, has become quite popular among the audience. She recently shared some insights about her connection with Dilip Joshi. Additionally, she disclosed which actors from the show earned the most money.

Speaking about her bonding with Dilip Joshi on set with ETimes, Jheel Mehta shared, “He is very nice, but there was always the seniority factor over there, so I have not connected with sir on that level of other co-actors. Being a kid, and then there is someone already so accomplished in front of you so you hesitate to speak to them.” She mentioned that Dilip Joshi's son was a senior at her school and that the actor had visited as the chief guest on one occasion. Jheel also expressed admiration for Dilip Joshi, highlighting how in the comedy genre of the show, a significant amount of the content was improvised despite having a script, and Dilip Joshi excelled at it.

Moreover, Jheel spilled the beans on which actor raked in the most cash on the show. She stated, “I am not sure if this is true, I can only remember that when I used to earn Rs 1200, he would be earning 15x of what I did. Dilip sir would be getting paid more than what has been assumed. And it is all worth as he holds the show and his craft is par excellence. Apart from that, the second highest paid actor would be Disha didi or Shailesh uncle.”

The actress also remembered some sweet memories from the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah sets. She mentioned how birthdays were a big deal there, with grand celebrations. Jheel found it especially important as a kid since she often had to work on her birthday, and these celebrations served as motivation for her. She mentioned, “They used to celebrate it the grand way with the speakers and all the cast and crew around you while you cut the cake.”

Jheel bid farewell to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2012. Currently, the actress is gearing up for her wedding with her longtime partner Aditya Dube.
