Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh has always been the different than the rest of the Bollywood actors. He never shies away from expressing his feelings, his free-spirited attitude and flamboyant appearance has stolen many hearts.

Even his wife Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had once said, "There is no pretence with him, no holding back...People hate him or love him for that, but that’s who he is. He’s genuine...very good at articulating his feelings. He’s not afraid to cry. That’s what got me."

The A-lister actor, who has delivered many hits for the past nine years of his Bollywood career, was the first of the many to endorse condoms apart from Sunny Leone and Bipasha Basu.

During a throwback interview, Ranveer had not only revealed about the reasons behind taking up a project like promoting condoms but he also went on to reveal some intimate details about his sexual experiences.

Sharing the intimate details of when he was a school kid, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Ranveer had shared in the 2014 interview, "I think I was around 12 when I did it. I started everything early, everything! I was way ahead — so much so, that in school all the mothers used to say he (Ranveer) is that rotten apple that's spoiling all our kids. I used to hold sermons with all the boys surrounding me and I used to teach them. They hadn't heard of it and I became the expert because I had started very early."

The 34-year-old actor also went on to reveal that he used to find girls hitting on him cool as he used to fat when he was a teenager. He had confessed saying, "I became sexy at a later stage" and also revealed that he had sex at such a young age to an older woman only out of curiosity.

Talking about why he took up endorsements of condoms, Ranveer had shared, "When I am in a car, I see these hoardings go by. I thought to myself, somebody is selling this, somebody is selling that, why isn't anybody selling condoms?

"Then I realised that the only ads we have for condoms are very provocative in nature. That shouldn't be the only prevailing definition of sex. As a society, we have evolved; our attitude towards the subject has changed. So we can have open and healthy conversations about this. Somebody needs to point that out or else people will keep treating it as taboo."

He had further revealed that, "I had this idea and I called my people and asked them to contact Durex. I knew it was a huge risk. I thought I am either going to get two thumbs up or a tight slap. But it became a hit."
