While there is a round of news about Kavita Kaushik walking out from the finale of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8 after getting upset with one of the comedians from Comedy Nights Bachao team who roasted and humiliated her, and right when she was about to give it back, the crew switched off her mike. We bring in the other side of the story exclusively for you.
Firstly, let's hear it from Kavita's perspective as to what lead to her abrupt exit. The upset actress says "I did not sign for Comedy Nights Bachao. I have signed Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, I did not go on to the Bachao sets to endorse such cheap and vulgar comedy. I do not approve of this so nobody has the right to attack me. The makers of Comedy Nights Bachao have offered me the show many times and I have always turned it down. I did not take lakhs of money to be insulted then why should I do it on a dance based show where I am purely for the love of dance."
Further sharing the incident, she adds "I was sitting there, enjoying Jhalak and was in a great mood. I had gone there with a sportsmen spirit and suddenly there comes Comedy Nights Bachao team. I had warned all of them not to do this roast on me else I would retaliate and give it back on mike. Some of them were very nice and they listened to me and did not do it. But some two, so-called comedians, sorry... can't even call them comedians because comedians are very hardworking, good people with brains and lot of talents. These people came and started saying stupid lines, I still took it kindly and in a dignified manner and when I held the mike to reply they switched off my mike! So when my mike's power went off, the comedians like brainless Parrots were continuing with their lines and I had to just sit quietly. Dignified women like me would get up and leave as I cannot start fighting and screaming because I am a little more educated than that."
Comparing the Bachao comedians with Ace comedian Kapil Sharma, she quotes "Insulting someone, humiliating someone, passing cheap comments in the name of comedy is something that only talent-less people do. Everybody cannot become talented like Kapil Sharma, when he does comedy or pulls someone's leg, he does it with taste and with brains. He is witty and everybody wants to become as successful as him. Well, they won't and they can't. Because they take the easy way out, they take the cheap way out which is insulting someone, anybody can become a star if they open their clothes n they stand on the road. We have lot of celebs who are like that, whose only claim to fame is crash publicity.
Now it's time to hear the story from the horse's mouth!!
Anita Hassandani from Comedy Nights Bachao, who was present at the moment says "Honestly speaking, I am very fond of Kavita. She is lovely and has a great sense of humour. We were blowing punches on everyone present there. We even cracked jokes on Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and the contestants present there! So it was not that only she was targeted. That is the format of the show and we were just doing our job. And talking about the technical issues that turned the mike off, I cannot really say whether they purposely did it or some issues came down."

Kavita did the right thing...Insulting someone is not comedy , it is actually very sad that people think by insulting someone they are doing comedy, comedy is not cheap & vulgar...and I've watched the show comedy nights bachao and it was utter nonsense they were just insulting people, didn't like it even a bit neither did I get any laughter on that so called comedy.

Comedy Night Bachao is one of the most stupid shows ever. As Kavita said, even Kapil pulls his guests' leg but he knows where to draw the line. Whereas here they insult the celebs like they have achived nothing

I feel this is all TRP gaining tactics, bith for JDJ Finale & Comedy Nites Bachao. The reason is - if you look at the format of Comedy Nites - after every act they throw punches at the performers as well. Also at the end of the show, all the guests give it back to the actors. So I dont get it how & why they would turn her mic off. Also, its too much of a coincidence that some tech problem switched off her mic. I get a feel this all is planned, they chose the most bold contestant to pull it off. Also, Kavita has a similar show lined up for herself where she plays host "Fakebook with Kavita" where she supposedly pokes fun. So how come she reacted in this manner. Anyways, if it was all for real, I would just say - it shouldnt have been done wothout consent - people who come on Bachao come at their discretion.

The Indian comedy shows are Horrbile! Comedy doesnt mean personally humiliating someone and make fun of his/her figure and size

I support Kavitha. Everyone are not the same. Some ppl have low tolerance level and get easily offended and cannot take jokes on them, so it was not right to crack jokes on her despite her warning. That was totally wrong. As far as the the concept of CNB goes it's based on Western Stand Up Comedy Routine where Celebs get Roasted as everyone might be familiar with it. Some ppl have the right spirit to take joke as joke and not get offended easily and take it in a right spirit. I have seen ppl getting much worse deal in the name of Roast. Even Kapil Sharma crosses line sometimes while passing crass comments on Studio Audience culminated with Sidhu's Motor Mouth occasionally spurting out his own craps like "Pinkity Poo" and some other non-sense and Kapil's over the top flirting. Well to each his own. Having said that I believe even JDJ's in house host Manish Paul along with KJo has many a times have made many Gay Jokes. It depends on person how he takes it. What one may find entertaining, other may find it offending.
