Sony TV's popular court room thriller Adaalat, produced by Contiloe Telefilms will soon go through a revamp with the introduction of few new characters. It is believed that the thrill element in each of the cases that K.D. Pathak (Ronit Roy) solves will be intensified, and there will be more outdoor sequences shot as part of investigation. To facilitate this, K.D. will have an associate who will help him in finding clues for his cases. Also, there will be a new lady public prosecutor introduced, who will have a past angle with K.D. Pathak.
TellyBuzz gives our readers the first hand information on these two new entries. Talented actor Romit Raaj will essay the role of the associate while Shweta Kawatra will play the role of the public prosecutor.
A little birdie tells us, "Romit will essay the role of a shrewd young lad who happens to be Jhilmil's (Mushtaq Khan) nephew. Though the boy is least interested in assisting K.D., he is forcefully put into the job by his uncle. The boy has a very good observation power and will slowly fit into the role of being the super lawyer's helping hand. In addition to Tina Choudhary and Sayantani Ghosh, K.D. will have to put up with another public prosecutor in Shweta Kawatra. The prosecutor's entry will happen first followed by the associate's".
When contacted, Romit refused to comment.
Shweta Kawatra confirmed her entry in the Sony show saying, "Yes, I will be playing the lawyer opposite K.D. I have not yet started shoot, as I am presently in Kashmir. I am looking forward to essaying this challenging role".
