Alt Balaji is coming up with a new courtroom drama based on the 1959 Nanavati case. The series will also feature actor Sumeet Vyas and Angad Bedi in lead roles. Sumeet and Angad both will don black coat for their character. While Sumeet will essay the character of famous lawyer Ram Jethmalani, Angad will be seen playing barrister Karl Khandalavala.

According to reports, versatile actor Saurabh Shukla, who is known for his roles in movies like Jolly LLB, Jolly LLB 2, Kick, Raid and Barfi has been roped in for the web series. He'll play the role of the enterprising journalist, Russi Karanjia, who had a great connection in the Nanavati case.

The series is being directed by Shashant Shah and will be a 10 episode court room drama based on public records, newspaper articles of the time and interviews with people who have knowledge of the case.

The cast already began prepping for their respective roles and reportedly the makers will rope in most of the cast from the theatre industry.
