Saahil Uppal and Riya Sharma starrer Pinjara Khubsurti Ka on Colors, is reportedly going to go off-air on August 6. As per the reports in The Times of India, the show will wrap up after a run of almost a year. The show recently underwent a leap of 20 years and that gave it room to introduce a fresh story along with a reincarnation track.
However, as it turns out, the show doesn't seem to be doing better despite the changes, and hence, the show is now going to go off-air. Meanwhile, it also did not get the necessary ratings and the makers felt that they have exhausted the possible storylines and hence, did not want to drag the story.
The show started off with the tale of Mayura and Omkar, where the latter falls in love with the former due to her beauty. However, she wishes for people to look beyond that, but the two eventually get married. How the story follows and eventually, leading to the ongoing track, is what the show has narrated so far. It witnessed a bunch of new entries, including that of actor Karan Vohra, who returned to the TV screens after a while.
Given the ratings, a bunch of shows have been in the news as they have failed to get the necessary buzz. While some shows moved to the OTT platform, some also went off-air abruptly.

I just wish this show was written better. It started off with an interesting but already popularised trope (which still made sense) but as it proceeded it became melodramatic. Before the leap the male lead was arrogant, post the leap, its the female lead. When will the telly-world start accepting grey-shaded characters without extremities? People started disliking Om's character so now, Mayura becomes stuck-up. I feel really sad about this.
