Radhika Madan stole a movie from a star kid? Hints at replacing Sara Ali Khan

Radhika Madan made a successful Bollywood debut in 2018, with Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha, along with Sanya Malhotra. The actress was then seen in this year’s sleeper hit movie Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota, which also starred Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dassani. Both her movies were critically-acclaimed and got her a lot of recognition all around the world. Radhika was even nominated at Zee Cine Awards 2019 for Best Debut Female.

The 24-year-old actress is gearing up for the release of her third film Angrezi Medium which was reportedly offered to Sara Ali Khan. Radhika who plays Irrfan Khan’s daughter in the movie, in an interview with Pinkvilla, talked about her bagging a role which was specifically kept a star-kid. 

She said, “The same thing happened with me. The producer told me I'm giving it to so and so's daughter and I wanted the project. I said you take my audition. Just take my audition I'm not asking for anything else. He agreed, I gave the audition and I got the role.”

When quizzed if she was hinting at Sara, Radhika replied, “I don’t know.”

Though the news of the Kedarnath actress being a part of Angrezi Medium was never confirmed and only a speculation, we cannot be sure if Radhika was talking about this report or not.

Recently, Radhika had taken to her official social media handle and shared a photo with Kareena Kapoor Khan, who she will be sharing a screen space in Angrezi Medium. 

Sharing the photo she quoted Kareena’s famous character Poo from Kabhie Khusi Kabhie Gham, she wrote, “How dare you? Tumhaara koi haq nahi banta ke tum itni khoobsurat lago . . Not fair”

Angrezi Medium is a sequel to Hindi Medium which starred Irrfan and Saba Qamar. The first instalment was directed by Saket Choudhary however, Angrezi Medium is helmed by Homi Adajania. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the role of a cop.
