Actor Benafsha Soonawala, who hosted Ekta Kapoor and Anand Mishra's MTV Box Cricket League (BCL), talks about her experience, her equation with the players and interesting incidents.
How was the experience of anchoring MTV BCL?
The experience of hosting the show was phenomenal. I think it was exactly my kinda show to host, full of fun and masti. I had such a great time interacting with all the TV celebs. There's not one interview I've taken that's not had a lot of laughter, comedy and fun along with cricket conversations. Apart from that, it was fun to work with Balaji. I absolutely adore the team. They're all like buddies and we talk like old school friends. We shot from morning to the next morning but I loved the vibe so much that I was always full of energy and fun. Not to forget my sense of humour on the show. That's not hard since I'm Parsi and it comes naturally to us Parsis'.The youth has
connected to the show, what is the feedback you are getting?
How is it anchoring MTV BCL with Aisha Adlakha?
Ayesha is a lovely girl. We used to shoot for so long and Ayesha would get pissed and say 1-2 one-liners while she was tired and that would totally crack me up. She's a softie from the inside and full of love. We did a lot of fun links together. How is it working with commentator Shardul Pandit?
Shardul is almost like me... Full cartoon. You could always see us jumping around together on the pitch. Either we'd go sit with cheerleaders and dance or we'd run behind Rakhi Sawant and Dhinchak Pooja to interact with them and have a good laugh, or we'd crack some jokes and do crazy stuff. We both are total comedians... On and off the camera.Drama is a big part
of MTV BCL and it does entertain audiences. Comment.
Drama happens everywhere. Thankfully, I had the job of hosting and having fun and not competing. All the teams worked really hard for the win and aggression would come in here and there but at the end of the day everyone would make up and congratulate each other.
Rakhi Sawant, Kanwar
Dhillon, Rajeev Thakur, Hiten Tejwani, Arshi Khan, Chestha Bhagat did
a lot of drama on the pitch and audiences are loving it. Comment.
Rakhi is my absolute favourite. She is so funny and fun to talk to. I've danced with her, twerked with her, and laughed my guts off with her. She is adorable and total entertainment. Hiten and Arshi's nok-jhok still remains a hit!
Any interesting incident from the field? Please share.
Every single thing that happened on the field was interesting. I think I loved all my fun interactions with the players. When I watch all of them right now, it's so hilarious that even I laugh. I'm not gonna give any fun moments away, you'll have to watch.Keep reading this space for more such interesting updates...
